Just watched it recently to see what all the hubbub was about. In the end it was a great show, really, but the first few episodes were just painful to watch; the stupidly evil bad guys alone made me consider turning it off. Once the core group of characters was adequately established and the ball got rolling on Zero's rebellion, it got watchable.

Yep, watched it and enjoyed it thoroughly, made me all nostalgic for my teen years when i used to watch shows like that.

So i'm watching Darker Than Black at the minute, and i can't help but feel these shows are aimed at the shonen crowd, but for some reason i'm really enjoying them.

Darker than Black is fan-fucking-tastic! The Best anime in the last five years or so.

The story arcs, The characters, everything just screams class.

I loved Code Geass. Beggining sucked but it does get very good. Adding nothing new too the forum other than a troll avatar.

This. Well. Part of it. Darker Than Black is ONE of the best. Outlaw Star still holds that title for me anyways with Soul Eater in third.

I've seen Code Geass when Adult Swim aired it, like most Anime. It was entertaining.

It's my favorite anime. I just started rewatching it today (I own all the dvds)

The only reason I don't talk about it in the forums usually is because so many people just ***** about the second season. Come on, leave season 2 alone. No, it wasn't as good as season 1 (not even close), but the last few episodes were good and the end made me cry. Stop thinking the entire second season is the same quality of the first few episodes, it got better.

I did when it was first aired.

But after that I never really found any reason to keep with it.

I did watch it again though a few months ago.

I remember when it was aired on Adult Swim. One of the finest shows I've ever had the pleasure of watching.

I watched the first half of it, but lost interest shortly into the second half. What I saw up to the mid point was pretty damn good though.

Everybody's seen it, it is a very main stream anime. I am not saying that in a bad way btw just as a fact it is very popular

nope never heard of this Code... how do you pronounce it? Geese? Sounds interesting through to be sure. What with this le - louch (rather odd to see a character name that rhymes with couch in an anime.
you are pronouncing it wrong, but its understandable. it IS a strange name. it actually rhymes with ''douche'', kind of a french sort of name. and also ironic as he is a major asshole :)

It's my fav= D btw, Lelouch is a French word (according to my French friend), incase you're confused about it.

SPOILER ALERT DO NOT READ BELOW THIS (does not know how to use the spoiler thingy)

As for the ending, Lelouch did what he did because that was how he planned it. He saw he got screwed when the Black Knights turned on him after hearing about Geass, so he made the plan to kill the Emperor, rule the world with an iron fist to make Britania nothing but a symbol of pure hatred and evil, then let the icon named Zero kill him, saving the world from an evil ruler, and saving the world from a bleak and horrible future, and making Zero the hero Lelouch originally wanted him to be from the very very start. The only difference between then and now is that Lelouch is the one to die, not the Emperor, but it holds the same effect.

Hope that clears that all up :3 *is a Geass nerd*

a man (or lady?) after my own heart, DTB is LEGENDARY, and im on like the 3rd last episode of Soul Eater at the time of writing. is Outlaw Star really that good? i was kind of off-put because it looks very dated. i mean, i cant even watch DBZ anymore....anime does not age well it seems. I would also like to add Black Lagoon, probably my personal favorite anime, and also Monster, which im really into. oh and D-Gray Man.

Yeah I watch it and love it! Also if you like Geass then you'll like Death Note. They're pretty similar.

Just asking because I recently finished watching it and thought it was really good, but sadly when I come to the forums here it seems the only series anyone here watch are either Death Note or Hellsing (I have watched neither though in hindsight I probably should have).
lol, I love the fact that the only 3 shows you mention (those two plus the thread subject) are also the only 3 animes I've ever watched. :p

Watch? No. Watched? Yes. It was a short self-contained series, and there's no point in watcfhing it over.
