Does anyone get this joke, or am I just an idiot?

The comic posted here [http://www.vgcats.com/comics/], a guest comic for Scott Ramsoo-something's VG CATS comic, makes no sense to me.

I understand that they're Ghostbusters, but... I don't get it.

I get it, it's just not a very funny or well-told joke. VG Cats is definitely not one of the better webcomics out there, it's pretty much right down there with Ctrl Alt Del in terms of the authors' basic lack of understanding of how comic humour works. So this is unsuprising.

Bubble gum as opposed the marshmallow (stay puff)? That's my guess.

Ctrl Alt Del is occasionally good when he does gaming humour but any attempt to be humourous outside of that context and the thing falls flat on its face every time. And the "stories" and "characters" are puke. I guess it's a little bit better than VG Cats (at least he can draw a proper speech bubble), but not by much. If the lame, unfunny joke in the linked VG Cats comic above appeared in Ctrl Alt Del I would just go "yep, a dud joke in a Ctrl Alt Del comic, no surprise there". When Ctrl Alt Del gets it right it's usually by chance rather than through any genuine understanding of how humour in a webcomic actually functions.

I think you need to play ghosbusters to get the joke, and its more of a piss take than a joke, I read the Edge Ghostbusters review and they stated that the games voiceover work is really disjointed. Like the original cast had no idea that you need to work harder to put emotion in your voice since we dont get to see their actual faces.
