That's exactly what I was thinking. It's not actually VG Cats, it's a guest comic that was featured on there, as has happened many times before (with varying results).Ultrajoe said:VG cats is gold and you will all be shot for saying otherwise. This guest comic is a poor imitation VG cats and all will burn for thinking it an example of the true VG cat name. Shame. SHAME.
My problem with VG cats is how very rarely he updates, and how very lacking the strips have been as of late. Granted, it was good earlier on, but if he is forced to go to... frankly shitty strips like this, I fear for him.Lord Krunk said:That's exactly what I was thinking. Incidentally, the strip in question wasn't very funny. What on earth happened between the 2nd and 3rd-last frames? Who are they shining a light at? What's going on? Why is that cat pink?
Well, the last one is obvious. But still.
Which is why I'm hoping he'll delve more into Super Effective. I love that comic.Flying-Emu said:My problem with VG cats is how very rarely he updates, and how very lacking the strips have been as of late. Super Effective and Adventure Log have a lot of promise, but he seems too committed to his kitties to do anything real with them.Lord Krunk said:Which is why I'm hoping he'll delve more into Super Effective. Really? I thought it was very witty.Flying-Emu said:The last Super Effective comic was... meh.
I see the joke, I understand it, it just... I mean, why Elvis? It didn't seem to fit with the rest of the series in the first place. I don't know, it just felt odd.Lord Krunk said:Really? I thought it was very witty.Flying-Emu said:The last Super Effective comic was... meh.
Jackson is the King of Pop, Elvis is the King of Rock. They're both legends in their respective genres.Flying-Emu said:I mean, why Elvis?
I know, but it still seems out of place. Elvis died years ago; why would it be on news, much less in Kanto?Lord Krunk said:Jackson is the King of Pop, Elvis is the King of Rock. They're both legends in their respective genres.Flying-Emu said:I mean, why Elvis?

Maybe I'm overthinking it.
