Yeah, it's called bronze. It's, to paraphrase Yahtzee, shite on a crusty bread roll. Takes roughly 10 hours to get enough stats high enough to get some better stuff, like steel and mithril.
It's kinda boring, especially when you start dealing 150 damage with a steel sword, which is menat to have a 48 damage limit.

Yeah i used to have a level 55 character. That was about 7 years ago now. Ahh the memories, pointless hours spent on my cooking skill, just so i could make cakes and get a special hat. However i never leveled up my woodcutting skill. What was the point of that???

I used to love it. I got to a really high level but got bored. Now when I go on I fuck around and try to get banned. I go back every now and then just to see what its like and how it has changed. When I played it, it could be considered the Hyundi of games. Now it is like a Hyundi with a million shitty aftermarket parts.

It was fun while it lasted.

I use to play it. Got to level 49 too. Then I realized that I was wasting my time playing a game where money either made you incredibly rich or ghetto. I realized that I was saving up gold for shit that nobody would ever sell me and my poor ghetto ass. I realized that I was playing a game where I would mine for 2 hours smelt for 1 and only get about 5% of the maximum quota of what I could get. I realized that in my whole YEAR of playing the game. That I only had enough money to buy a single boot of the best armour because I could only sell some daises and shoddily made leather boots because that was all I was able to make. I could also make a bronze sword. But who the FUCK wants a bronze sword? I barely had enough money on the game to support my characters crack addict before I finally decided that I was gonna go for the big gold prizes that were in the barbarian cave and I got it running through hordes of overpowered enemies with my beef jerky in hand. And you know what? After all that...I was finally able to buy the other boot. THAT is when I said FUCK YOU Runescape. You're wasting my life.

I was kinda like that, I was ghetto for ages until by an amazing stroke of chance this HELLA rich high level died right next to me with all this stuff on him. I made about 3mil that day. I was payed as. I went out and bought the best shit, got up my levels until I could walk around with the best shit and act like I was the 50cent of Runescape. My 13 year old ass then realised that 50cent is a fag who writes rubbish music and left Runescape forever.

I used to love playing it, until they took out the wilderness and staking, and pretty much tried to turn it into World of Runescape as apposed to the Runescape that I knew and loved from all the years I had previously spent playing. Now I just go on it to cut trees whilst I wait for some money to make my WoW account active again.

The whole game is incredibly boring grind. I can't understand the sick persons that can stand by a tree for 40 hours, or fish for 40 hours, or make fireplaces for 40 hours.

Everyone one at my school used to play Runescape, it was like a craze. Which I'm proud to say I started. Then everyone left when they realised it was shit. I do go on it sometimes to see whats changed.

Although, the music is the BEST part of it, I still find myself humming the theme song every now and again.

I agree there. Just because the graphics are appalling and look like they were created in Paint doesn't make the game bad. It's a pretty good time killer, I recall spending most of my time off for revising for my GCSE's on Runescape.

Oh and yes, I do like Runescape.

Exactly why I stopped. I used to play the hell out of it a few yrs ago! (I think I was level 92) but I got hacked, lost everything and gave up. Screw you Runescape hackers!

I still like the game though but I have no idea what has changed in the last 3 yrs...I quit soon after the hunting skill came out.
