Does anyone know how the Equip works in Skyrim yet?

I ask this because I wanted to make a battle-mage and I was wondering if you will be able to wield a shield in you left(or right) hand and a spell in the other?

In Oblivion you where unable to see your equipped shield unless you had a melee weapon also equipped so I wonder if they kept the weird feature or not.

I can't say for 100%, but I'm pretty sure you can. I think I heard in an interview that you can pretty much dual wield anything, even double staff.

Yea I guess, I hope so because I think shield and magic would look awesome!!
