Does anyone know if "Mercenaries 2" still has working multiplayer?

My first Xbox game is Mercenaries 2. I like it and I've been tolerating a few glitches but they haven't been that bad. I know there's multiplayer but I have to buy a gold membership for it. I heard that Pandemic Studios was closed down and as a result some of their games lost their online multiplayer usage. Is the same true for Mercenaries 2? I want to know if I should get the membership now or instead get a game with working multiplayer first.

The online components of Mercenaries 2 no longer function, no. At least, not on my PS3 version.

...Is Mercs 2 one of those games that doesn't have split-screen? I'm going to assume it is. Oh, you may be able to do system link! That's one way around the online-multiplayer thing, isn't it?

Considering Mercs 2 is one of the worst games I've ever played, I doubt anyone is playing that over other games.

Last I heard, it was. Sadly, I cannot confirm as EA is having issues with a lot/most of their servers for various 360 games.

Be happy to play with you if they are still up though.

I think it is as I can connect to the servers and it says I'm connected, however, I haven't been able to connect to anyone in years (of course it could be my crappy, NAT 3 connection).
