My family have never been directly engaged in WW2, but they quite a bit of weaponry from that time period. My grandfather owns quite a few Russian and American weapons and some German submachine guns. I also own a Japanese Officer sword, which has been used to execute Chinese in Manchuria. (I'm holding it in my avatar.) Do any of you have a WW2 weapon?

While i do not actually own a WW2 weapon, i do own: An authentic WWII combat helmet, 9 unfired .30 cal rounds attached to their belt that were brought in on D-Day, and one WWI shell casing, probably french, all of which i picked up in Normandy

I'm saving up to get either a Springfield M1 Garand or a Lee Enfield No4 Rifle. Both of them are deactivated and circa 1945.

So no, I don't own any. But I intend to :)

I thought you must be 70 or something since you said you picked it up in Normandy.

I've got an Arisaka Type 99 sitting in my gun locker. I used to have a Mauser and a Mosin Nagant, but I sold them earlier this year. I've been kinda wanting to get my hands on an SMLE. I know I've got a couple Garands somewhere around here.

That sounds like a flat out lie. Unless I see you face to face I doubt you are as young as you claim to be.

You guys have a grizzly hobby. The boasting about the sword being used to execute Chinese people made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
Chinese prisoners and disobedient workers to be exact.

I really want some. They are interesting weapons, I'd probably like a Bren, a Garand, an Mp40 and 44 and a Webley revolver.
