At this point I'd like remakes of FFVI before any new games come out.
NO! No more remakes!
I want NEW games. They need to forget this remake nonsense, and FINALLY release Agito 13 and Versus 13. Then they can continue to make NEW offerings. There's already the original SNES FFVI and the PS1 remake (PS1 games can be played on PS3). Do we really need another?
Agreed.

Not really that fussed about Final Fantasy XIV Online which, to me, just looks like Final Fantasy XI remade.

Besides, remakes never truly capture that nostalgia which the original did. You love the old version of the game, warts and all, not the same when it's remade.

I'm personally really looking forward to Versus XIII. I just wish they would tell us more about it. It's what, been 4 years now, and still we haven't seen any gameplay. I just hope it's worth the wait.

I want them to remake the old ones for the newer consoles to be honest. I'd deff replay ff9, ff3 (from snes) or 2 or 7 or 8 etc...

Definitely, I really enjoyed XIII.

Admittedly it was only my second FF game, so maybe I'm just not as burnt out on the series as other people.

I had no problems with XII, I actually enjoyed the comabt better in that game, it's so annoying walking 5 steps, random battle, 5 steps, random battle ALL the time. And i thought the story was better than previous titles (love stories for example, though I enjoyed IX, but I suppose that wasn't really a love story).

Excluding X, I enjoyed X a lot, even if there is a love story included.

Um... yes. No other franchise out there does it quite like Final Fantasy. As far as I'm concerned, they can keep making their fantasy epics until the end of time.

I really liked Final Fantasy IX, how they mixed some of the older stuff thematically with some of the (at the time) newer technology.

Nah, I dont mind Final Fantasy. It's really just a name at this point. If they stopped with Final Fantasy bets are they would just make whatever they normally would have with FF but name it something like say.... The Last Story or something completely origional like that.

Few years later, we'll be playing The Last Story IX.

If they keep making them, awesome. If they don't, that's fine too. Granted, the last FF game I played FFX oh so long ago.

well i've liked em all just about up until this point, so why not? all the games are completely disconnected from each other in nearly every aspect besides gameplay, so im fine with it, its no different than alot of companies do its just SE is just not changing the name really each time

so yeah keep em coming, maybe try a different approach though, 13 was good but def. not one of their best.

perhaps a mix of 7/9 for mechanics and item flow along with story, and then the world of ff12 actually wasn't too bad, i wouldn't mind seeing that again

but hey, they make them, ill buy them, until the day SE dies.

Sure, they're fun games with interesting characters, fantastic stories (by most standards, at least), and fun gameplay.

I really miss the job and materia systems though...

Of course. They're good games.

Really, your insistence that they should stop just because of the series title is quite...well, stupid, really.

Well, the games aren't really similar to each other, so it's not really that the series needs to end. If you don't like the direction Squeenix is taking, you should simply hope that the way they think changes, because they always start a story from scratch and like to change up the gameplay mechanics a lot.

I want another ff game with a flexible party. I am able to bear Final Fantasies 1-6, but the ones I liked the best were 1, 3, 5, and 6, which coincidentally were the only ones that gave you a degree of party customization, which is why I like MMORPGs more than the average person, because they give me a degree of character customization.

I think there was another FF game where there was this circle grid thing.. I think it was X?
That would be the next game I would play if I got the opportunity.

So, on the subject of FF, they are pretty dang good games, of which I hope most people are in agreement, but come on. There's been about 20 now, is that not enough? Granted new storyline, new universe really in each individual game but, it's still... Final Fantasy. DO you want more of that? Why don't they focus their efforts on like... "Final Open World Sandbox In Which You Sometimes Come Across 50 Player Multiplayer Battles But Maintain Doing Whatever The Fuck You Want". FOWSIWYSCAFPMBBMDWTFYW , rolls off the tongue quite easily does it not? What about something like that, or more... grindfest...
I want a remake of 8 and then for the series to pursue other things. The more recent ones don't even count as final fantasy to me.

They should keep going, it makes good business sense.

I've liked all the FF games I've played but I haven't played many so I could still be *new* to the series.
