Does anyone sleep with a plushie/pillow/item of sentimental value?

Okay, so I'll kick this thread off with my story.

[HEADING=2]Before I start getting into it, I'm going to mention that I'm a Brony, and my story is heavily based on this.[/HEADING]
So if you don't feel like reading it but still want to post in the thread, you're welcome to skip to the bottom.
If this is too much for you to handle, you're welcome to go post somewhere else altogether.

Anyway, about a week ago I spent the weekend with my friend. As he was leaving my house though, he managed to force a Rainbow Dash plushie on me. Now, the reason I tried to turn it down was because it cost him a bit of money, and he was having money troubles. In the end, he won and I was stuck with it. I usually try and help him out from time-to-time, and I had bought lunch that day. He feels really guilty that he borrowed money from me to buy a car, but I trust that he'll pay me back.
Anyway, the next day didn't go too well. It was just regular run-of-the-mill bad day stuff, and by the end I was feeling pretty bad. So, without thinking, I took the plush and just sat in my chair with it in my lap as I browsed the internet.
I felt better.
So, of course, when I went to bed I took it with me, and fell asleep hugging it. I ain't ashamed, because I woke up feeling great.
It's really soft...
But since then, I keep it around when I go to sleep. I'm a nineteen year old college student studying psychology, and this doesn't seem strange to me. I used to have a stuffed dog when I was a kid, but it's gone now.
I have to say, just because you're older doesn't mean you still can't be a kid. Sitting around and hugging a stuffed toy feels just as good as it did twelve years ago...

So, try and be honest here, have you got any sentimental items or such that you sleep with, or just generally cherish?

Of course.
I have a number of plushies on my bed,
most of them are sentimental, some of them are just cute.

I completely understand the appeal, but I never really took to one, even when I was a child. I always found them annoying as I like to sprawl out in bed, and it would always just end up falling out.

I got a teddy bear. His name is Rocky and he's the best teddy bear ever. He even has the best teddy bear scarf ever in the whole world of teddy bear scarves.

Having something to just hold on to just helps especially when there aren't any hug-happy people close by.

Its probaby not like this for a lot of peaple, but...
Just felt like posting this. As for me, well I used to sleep with this alien plushi, though I out grew the habit I still let it hang around my desk. Gave it a little hat I found. Looks like a little, green Undertaker.
Another time I won this red teddybear from some ammusement park a long time ago. I didnt want it and gave it to my grandmother to see if she'll like it. Slept with it ever since, thought that was cool.

On my bed right now:

Gemenon - tiger
Karta - apatosaurus
Kenya - lion
Puppy - Pound Puppy
Toby - tiger
Igloo - polar bear
Alexander - great white shark
Whale - orca
Tryoun - giraffe
Duffy - Disney bear
Analisse - sheep
Kitty - kitty
Cinder - black bear
Rhen - snow leopard
Poof - pink elephant
Prinny - blue penguin (not actually a Prinny)
Syran - great white shark
Bruno - some kind of dinosaur. Think he's supposed to be a stegosaurus, but his body shape is more like an apatosaur.
Saand - turtle
Kensington - fox
Flip - bunny
Vashon - cow
Little Bear - brown bear. I got him in the hospital when I was born, and have slept with him nearly every night since then.
Pandora - sugar glider
And an otter with no name yet. Anyone know any good names for otters?

And that is just on my bed right now. I have many more who aren't on the bed right now. I tend to rotate them in and out, so everyone gets loved on.

A couple of seals, with two mainstays: A white one named Örjan and commonly referred to as Örfis, and a dark grey one with black spots known as Hugo.

Örf, örf!

I have a stuffed bunny named "Hoppy" that I have had since I was about 7-years-old. My girlfriend currently has him at her place XP

Sometimes the old family rat-puppet "Rat-Tita" finds her way into my bed at night. She's old as fuck, and it's kind of weird to sleep with a puppet, but... stop looking at me like that!

Not anymore.

I used to have tons of soft toys as a kid which they often reside at the end of my bed (I had wooden borders around my bed) while my favourite was next to me when I slept.

While I don't think it's silly for still doing that but I guess I should be shamefull for not given my Fluttershy plushie the same treatment as the OP (I kept her inside my bag at the top of my wardrobe but I sometime get her out when my parent are out).

I guess I should stand up for my parent more as they still view toys are for kids only but in saying so they were competely fine with my Kon and Toshiro plushies (ok yes I'm more like a hidden brony in real life). In saying so, they did gave away my most prized soft toys to some releative kids who I barely know without my consent (I dread to think what happen to my brown tortoise now...) so I guess I am preventing another mistake.

These days I think it for the best that I don't have them so near to me since I don't fall alseep so easily so I twist and turn alot so I want to keep them in good condition.

Fluttershy plushie
Where did you find this? So far I've only seen Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie. Need Fluttershy or Rarity!
Someone made some handmade MLP:FiM plushies (the ones I saw were Fluttershy X 2, Surpise, Pinkie Pie and Firefly and sold them in this year MCM Expo Manchester (back in Augest). Since they were handmade individually, they cost £35 each but in saying so that's very cheap compared to those others online.

Sure Pinkie Pie wasn't there but I saw a guy who had her in his bag.

I bought it more as a impluse reaction since they were selling like hot cake since they were all gone several minutes later!
Before you asked, I have no idea who was the seller or who made them (the person never had a businesscard or any form of a link to their shop.

Also finding that specific plushies is a needle in a haystack and believe me I'm good at finding specific info on the web (as long it's not dodgy info).

Yuppers.

I have two stuffed animals that I snuggle with at night: a random white horse plush and a Bolt (the dog from that Disney movie from a few years ago). I also have a little wolf and a Tails plushie that I used to sleep with, but nowadays they just sit on top of my radio. Only the wolfie and Tails have any true sentimental value, though, the pony and Bolt are just very cuddly.

I used to physically sleep with an old panda toy I was given when I was born. I don't sleep with it anymore but it still sits on the shelf with other stuff next to my bed. It's at least 27 years old. Bearing in mind that I'm 21, that's a damn old and sentimental toy!
