I do often, but mostly I use it so I know when new emails come through to me.

I used to be on MSN all the time, and Yahoo Messenger before that. These days I only use MSN once a week or so to keep in touch with my one friend who refuses to use Facebook.

Every day, great for sending links and shit. Oh, and talking.
So yes daily, even though I only ever (and this has been the same since some early grade) talk to the same 5 or 6 people.

Oh and facebook chat is shit.
Seriously.

I don't.... but my boss does, which can make for some awkward moments. He's overseas so...

Boss: You really need to add me on MSN so we can communicate more often.

Me: Well, I actually don't really use MSN, see I prefer-

Boss: Then get MSN and add me. Get with the times man!

I have all my friends on MSN, only talk to 1 or 2 of them on it though.

I use both the Steam chat and Skype. I have two MSN accounts, but I use neither. Unless I need to give an email for something, but that's about it.

I think it's pretty much dead. In the lead up to me ditching it, I was constantly getting computerized messages from friends with infected accounts, and kept getting added by random "people" who I'd never met and had no interest in meeting.

I do have a facebook which gets used a bit, but I mostly use xfire. My close friends use it, and my close friends who don't are only a phone call/txt message away..

It's the first program that loads on start-up for me. Can't live without it.

Yes i do. I prefer it over any social networking sites and it helps me keep in contact with some of old friends. Steam and MSN are pretty much my only IM programs i use.

I'm pretty much on it everyday all day, it's my main way of communicating with friends. We all hate using Facebook and we've been using it for years. No need to stop using it now. Steam is also rather useful and my Skype contact list is increasing gradually. But really MSN is all that I use.

Heck ya! I mean, pretty much no one is ever on there, but a lot of my friends still use it for quick chats....

Okay actually I barely ever use it, it's just there since I dislike keeping my browser window open for facebook

I use skype fairly often really. I've missplacd my dead-battery phone somewhere, and I'd be dead before I join facebook or twitter. Skype (or MSN) is the only way people can reach me...without meeting me in person.
I had the same views as you about facebook and myspace, but as I'm heavily involved with music at school and just about everything for the music department is announced over facebook. I missed several extra rehearsals last year, because no one told me about them.

OT: I still use MSN, I find facebook chat really irritating for some reason. Don't ask me why, I have no idea what it is about it that I find so annoying about it. Anyway, I don't really use IM services as much as most people, I prefer to actually speak to people.

I still use MSN quite often as a form of communication (Facebooks IM service sucks anyway).

I've only added one person so far from Escapist cause I feel like a stalker if I talk. How do you think shed react to, hey I'm Ziadaine from escapist, thought I'd add you since you live close by"

chances are she read that so forgive me Tess. >.<

MSN... no. AIM, yeah, just because I'm not on FB 24/7 and I hate having to switch from whatever I'm doing to FB because their own IM thing doesn't tear off the page. >=(
It always seemed that whatever IM client the bulk of my friends were on, that was the only one I used (or made others use >_> ), and growing up, that just happened to by AIM. Could have just as easily been MSN, Yahoo, or anything else. *shrug*

I still use it, although I use aMSN, for Linux. I have a couple of close friends on there who I talk to almost every day. I used to use Skype, but I've long since abandoned that. I'm sure I've got a XFire account somewhere as well, although I've no idea what it is.
