Yeah I also got the game recently. Haven't played it since. It bored me so greatly that I never understood where all the excitement for it came from.

Personally, I loved Borderlands single-player. It does get more fun, from my perspective. Harder enemies, better quests, etc.
I thought I was the only one.

I play strictly single player games and I found this to be quite enjoyable in single player.

It starts off slow, but so does every game. Just play a little longer. If you don't like it, take it back.

Can you still do that? The guys at Gamestop let me basically rent games. If I don't like it, they'll refund it.

Nowadays I think they only do that with used games, but I could be wrong. Used games are great, anyway.

I thought it was a top quality game. I did most of single player, and enjoyed it thouroughly, but i needed a hand to reach lvl 50, so i went online.

I got the platinum trophy for it in about... two weeks or so? like i said, its good and gets better.

X-Men legends is a first person shooter that uses cel-shaded graphics and renders large 3D desert landscapes as far as the eye can see? Or are you just so oblivious that you don't know what cel-shaded graphics are?

Calling Borderlands a rip off of X-Men Legends for using cel-shading is like calling Halo a rip off of Mario 64 for being 3D.

it's gets alot more fun. esspecially when you get a revolver that uses no ammo and fires about 200 rounds per trigger pull.

I personally liked it. It just seemed like a great stress reliever for me. Just running straight at Bandits and Bruisers and introducing them to a Acid-Fueled uppercut was just oh so satisfying.

3 guesses to which class I play as.

You've obviously never played X-men legends, it's a third person beat-em-up.

Trust me. I have it.

And X-men legends has massively thick outlines around everything, as did Borderlands several years later. And find me another game that uses that style.

Then find me another game that's 3D.

"Video games

The use of cel-shading in video games has somewhat slowed since its inception, even though the technique has been used in recent acclaimed titles. Examples include Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, Rogue Galaxy, Killer 7, No More Heroes, Afro Samurai, Metal Gear Acid 2, Ōkami, Street Fighter IV, Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure, Prince of Persia, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Borderlands and most notably Eternal Sonata; although, should be noticed, that some of these titles only use the outline effect and do not apply the shading technique that creates the flat look, which some people consider to not be cel-shading.[citation needed]

Finally, there is a new MMORPG called Lunia developed in cel-shading."

Also my question was rhetorical, the answer being no. I know X-Men legends isn't a first person shooter with cel-shaded graphics and large desert landscape renders. Because thats the only way Borderlands could be a rip off of it.

Also here's another list:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cel-shaded_video_games

It's a very common technique especially in anime games which use the cel shading to recreate the originally drawn characters.

I read that article, and looked at about 5 of the games. None of them had noticable outlines around everything.

So either the article is wrong, or you have the wrong article.
