I gain weight easily, both fat and muscle. I guess I have a slow metabolism?
I eat a lot, though.

Think about it, whenever a thread pops up concerning food/weight, etc., 80% of the posters will mention having a fast metabolism.

I personally don't really know about my metabolism, my diet is mainly Cheerios, milk, and diet Pepsi.
I love you for that. Switch it to Honey Nut Cheerios and you my diet for the majority of this summer. I've branched out to bananas and yogurt too.

I do not have a fast metabolism; however, I do have a minimum wage job that requires me to run around a store all day. Between that and only consuming a small number of calories I can stay a decent shape. All my extra weight seems to go straight to my boobs though, so that's kinda fun.
That last sentence would have scared me a bit if you were a guy. The reason I try and avoid those type of foods is because I fear that last sentence will apply to me.
haha, I should have mentioned that I'm a girl. That would cut back on the creepiness of that comment.

If you're still alive on that diet, then yes, you have a fast metabolism.

Me I'm old and cranky. Almost 30. My metabolism isn't what it used to be.
Sad face...

I do. I eat all day and night and I don't gain weight.

But that doesn't necessarily mean I'm healthy D:

Well, I did exaggerate a bit about my diet, but it's true for the most part.

And oh no! I'm 20; in a decade my uber-metabolism that I seem to have (according to you, anyway) will explode!

Young men - that is to say late teens early 20s - pretty much all have super quick metabolisms...which is why men who hit their mid to late 20s are often unhappily shocked when they suddenly put on a lot of weight without really changing their diets.
It's like witchcraft!

Cool avatar, by the way.

I don't have a fast metabolism, but I do have a body that tends to pack the fat in areas where it works (ie, boobs and backside). Plus I'm a bit of a gym rat, which makes up for a lot (though not all) of my bad habits, eating-wise.

Mine's actually pretty average. It used to be a bit faster, I think, when I was younger and I was snacking constantly (or maybe I was just skinny because I never had the chance to eat... I don't know).

Age is a big factor in it all, too, and most of the people on here are probably high school/college age.

Errrr well I do have a pretty fast one, if that helps.

Well I do exercise at least 4 times a week, but even so. I don't know if I would ever put on weight even if I just sat around.

It's awesome ^_^

Heeeelllllll no. Mine's slow as molasses. I could do to eat less and excorsize more. I generally eat healthily, but I do eat fairly big helpings. I also skip breakfast or lunch a lot of days, but that does dick all. I go for 2-6 hour walks most days, but when I'm not out walking or swimming I'm generally a lazy slob.

Used to do routine excorsizes, but after 3 months and no results I decided I'd just get back to it when I felt motivated, so...

Yeah, probably won't happen for a while.

I don't have a fast metabolism, but I eat well and I run, so I stay moderately healthy. Also, I find staying a moderate weight gives me some awesome curves, some I'm not going to change my routine any time soon.

It's because a serious chunk of the escapist are teenagers.
I am not one of them.
My metabolism is horribly slow.

Yeah, mine it pretty fast. I'm incredibly puny and skinny and don't exercise at all. I eat tons of food and yet, don't get bigger...

I see mine as average, if I eat a ton I gain weight, if I eat little I lose weight. However being 18 means it doesn't matter what I eat :) Unfortunately if I keep it up I'm going to be fat when I lose my metabolism.
