Told my boyfriend about this thread and he just said "love is like the female orgasm, if you find the right person then it's very real." Hahahahahaha.

Honestly I understand some people don't believe in it because they haven't or don't want to meet someone they connect with. I didn't really believe in it before my current boyfriend. I've loved all my past partners but there's always been something missing and whatever it is I've found it with him. Maybe it's because we cosplay cute couples together that makes me feel like it's all Disney-esque.
It's chemicals in my brains, it's my emotions and it's my soul; I love him with every fibre of my being.

It exists in many forms too. Denial of it's existence or passing it off as less than what it is is ridiculous.

"I didn't really believe in it before my current boyfriend" (Not trying to single you out just for example purposes)

This is what I think is wrong with peoples thinking on love today.

Love isn't just for your boyfriend or girlfriend.

You can love your brother, dog, or hell a piece of paper or music.

What is love?

....Sorry, couldn't resist. (edit;ninjad...left the tab open for too long)

I would say love is more psychological than "chemical reactions". Whether it exists or not could be said for any emotion, chemicals can induce and intensify the feeling but the choice to act on it is an option either it be conscious or unconscious.

Snip and..

I am willing to concede I potentially am not in a very healthy mindset. It's part of the reasons I've been making threads like this. Just trying to peace together...

I don't know what I'm trying to peace together.
Ever heard of ignorance is bliss? It sounds like you are trying to grapple with concept of reality and only through the limited instruments that we have. The only people who have ever "pieced things together" are those who ignore large parts of the world. To have happiness you must blind yourself to misery, yours and others. Take giving food to the starving in Africa. They are feed and alive but you must blind yourself to the fact that some of them have been refugee camps for decades. For generations. They aren't learning how to fend for themselves and thus giving them food is hindering them.

So what do we do? No idea. But it sounds like your a person who can understand the problem rather than the average who chooses to see what they want.

I sounds like you are at a fork in the road. Give up understanding for happiness or vice versa

It's chemical, yeh... It's still worth doing, just don't allow it to cause you to fuck your life up. Enjoy the swirling tornado of feelzies that your body can produce, just be smart in the face of it.
