Only on consoles. I understand why it isn't on PCs, since I could not fit another mouse and keyboard on this desk. Plus this screen is only 17 inches.
I thought people tended to use gamepads for the second players.archvile93 said:Only on consoles. I understand why it isn't on PCs, since I could not fit another mouse and keyboard on this desk. Plus this screen is only 17 inches.
did it really have split screen cause i didnt find it. im just confused cause you say it had split screen and your talking about online coop as well.Mozza444 said:What?Merkavar said:yeah. i love resistance cause it had split screen and i could play with my brother. i bought resistance 2 and played like 5 mins of it cause it didnt have split screen.
i think the game developers think people who play games play alone in a dark room with a pile of empty coke cans next to them.
Resistance 2 has some of the best Split-Screen action i have ever seen in a game?
Have you not even tried the online co-op?
Or the fact that you can play online against other people and it have split screen?
Its always the game that i have to break out when i have friends around
Because apparently online sells now. I know so many people (my brother included) who will buy a $60 game and play it to death online but won't even touch the single player.GeorgW said:Yes. It really annoys me if I invite a friend over to play a game only to realise it doesn't work with split screen. It used to be a given to include it, any game that didn't have split screen didn't sell. Why has that changed?? It's just so much fun to be able to brag to your friend about PWNing him while in the same room.
I couldn't agree more. I go to a place called NEG which has two tvs with each console and a heluva lot of computers. But when I wanna go play on an xbox with some friends and one of the TVs is taken I need the split screen. Also, if there is co op I don't want two copies to play with my dad.ForensicYOYO said:I dont know about you but I get a great joy from having a couple of friends over and popping in a multiplayer game. This saddens me dearly... U_U
Yeah, everyone is making these games for the online component. It's so retarded, because many different things go into making a game, and making a game too specialized can kill it. I miss bots and games that were optimized for splitscreen.Mozza444 said:What?Merkavar said:yeah. i love resistance cause it had split screen and i could play with my brother. i bought resistance 2 and played like 5 mins of it cause it didnt have split screen.

Sure, but why not play online split screen? No matter what kind of game it is, adding split screen takes barely any effort design-wise (it does take a lot of effort for the coders though...), and there really is not excuse for not having it.shewolf51 said:Because apparently online sells now. I have to say I played Black ops yesterday and from what I played I like everything but the match making online or off. Campaign good, Zombies the highlight of the game ( which surprised me ). However I felt this was the worse match making CoD ive seen.Rewdalf said:Wow, I thought you were going to segway into CoD Black Ops since it does have split screen.
Co-op splitscreen campaign, guest splitscreen online, and splitscreen zombies.
These features do nothing but improve the game.
true dat!Sleekgiant said:2 is all I needed, no one wanted to play as Zooey and Louis anywaysForensicYOYO said:Im glad they had at least 2 player split screen. But they had 4 people. That's my gripe too. I mean its a game where four people run around on a team. How could it not be more perfect for 4-player split screen?ForensicYOYO said:Im glad they had at least 2 player split screen. But they had 4 people. Why couldn't they made 4 player split screen? all hail the escapist video series overmindsForensicYOYO said:Wow. Really? I recall both Yatzee and Extra credit touching on this topic about the stereo type of calling ourselves Gamers.
