Hahha, plus I dont think the pokemon are animals, they're pokemon, theres actual animals around tooDND Judgement said:yes because forcing them to beat the shit out of each other for our own personal gain is such a humane thing to do....LockeXIII said:3. Pokemon possibly makes us aware that animals are special and that we should treat them better. At least I've never seen any Trainers eating Pokemon, so they're probably vegetarians.
I don't think I've ever seen a real animal in Pokemon. Why are people coming into what should be a light hearted thread and getting all pissy?MaxTheReaper said:You know what?

Absolutely.
Why wouldn't it?
It just follows that killing virtual people makes us worse human beings, right?
I hate everyone and everything.

The numbers of different animal species in our world number in the millions if not billions, I don't think 400+ pokemon can fill all the ecological niches needed to keep the planet going. And a lot of pokemon are referenced as being like RL animals. They say pikachu is an electric mouse, they could only say that by knowing what a normal mouse was in the first place.Just to answer, yes, there's been some real world animals in the show: a worm, There's a cat in one chapter, several fish... plus they ate fried turkey in the 2nd movie. . I remember in one episode they were eating hamburgers for lunch, and in another episode Brock was making beef stew. So in conclusion, consider your self beatenDeleric said:I don't think I've ever seen a real animal in Pokemon. Ever.pimppeter2 said:DND Judgement said:....LockeXIII said:3. I never developed a friendship... I regularly swapped Pokemon if a better one came along.LockeXIII said:1. Other than many games which force you to headshot s***loads of enemies Pokemon makes you care for the creatures you catch and develop a friendship with them.
You can do that on any game with multiplayer abilities.LockeXIII said:2. You can meet a lot of people by pitting your team against their Pokes thus giving you a reason to communicate with other persons all around the world (no matter what religion or skin color)
I'm not quite sure how, considering the pretense of Pokemon is use your Pokemon to beat up other Pokemon and catch them unwillingly, or use your Pokemon to fight someone else's, were if you win you take money off them, and if you don't they take money from you. If people did it with animals they would be aloud to keep them, but it's OK if its Pokemon.LockeXIII said:3.
