Is it just me or does Rage look alot like the Fallout games. the Ark [Vault] The Ark Suit [Vault Suit] and alot to do about living after the apocalypse with some mutated humans that could be stand-ins for ghouls or super mutants.

Edit: what i mean by does it look like the fallout games is the premise. a guy emerges from an underground shelter and fights off mutated humans to protect the remnants of human society.

Edit: sorry its not by valve, its by id software, i got mixed up

iD is making Rage, not Valve. The Ark is a shelter for a meteor collision, not a nuclear apocalypse, The Ark Suit is what gives the player his/her abilities, not just a jump suit to be discarded in favor of a hobo's piss stained jacket. Almost all Post Apoc media involves mutants. And as Hardcore_Gamer said, it's very action orientated, not RPG orientated. Oh, and you forgot to mention the Vehicular part of the game, which is kinda, you know... Half of the fucking game. Research your arguments before you end up looking like a douche again.

Isn't rage a FPS/Racing hybrid?

I don't know much about it, but the idea that a post-nuclear war zone would have mutants there. The Fallout series is hardly original in the idea anyway. And the games are completely different.

Where did you get the idea it was being developed by valve?

HAHAH, you are thinking about the game "Brink" and it isn't made by Valve, fail is so full of Fail-tastic Fail.

There are a lot of things (movies, games, books) set in a post-apocalyptic world. It doesn't mean it's like Fallout.
That said: id Software (not Valve) was making this game for a few years already. Does it seem similar because you're shooting mutants?.. Also, this has a customizable vehicle that you can race with.

It's weird right? The post apocalyptic setting of Fallout is so original and new, everybody must just be ripping it off.

What about Borderlands? Isn't that the other game that feature Vaults, so it could therefore also be a Fallout rip off.

Borderlands is being made by Gearbox. Did they not also make Half-Life Opposing Force all those years back? Valve may not be making Rage but maybe they are secrectly in league with Gearbox again to undermine the Fallout series monopoly on post apocalyptic settings. :O
