So I'm about 5 hours in to Red Dead Redemption, and so far, I'm sorry to say I'm not enjoying it much at all. I don't deny that it's really beautifully produced, but I find the controls a little twitchy and annoying, and haven't gotten into any kind of real storyline at all yet. (The only storyline quests I've done involve ranch duties, and I just met/saved a traveling snake oil salesman.)
I feel like I'm constantly distractingly bombarded with mini-games and collection quests, like the game has a serious case of ADD. Or that it's really just a glorified WarioWare.
So here's my question. Is this still the learning curve that I need to stick through to get to the real meat of the game? Or are the little distractions the point of the fun for most people, and if I don't like it by now I never will?
