Does switching between games confuse you?

I've gotten into a habit lately of switching between games, and I find myself getting confused by control schemes sometimes.

For example. RB is the run button in Saints Row 2, but in Gears 2 it reloads, and it Borderlands it throws grenades. I can't count how many times I've thrown grenades when I've wanted to run :).

Does this happen to anyone else? Are there any really bad button confusion combos (like RB for grenades or running) that you can think of?

It takes me about 5 minutes to get used to the controls when switching to another game, but then I'm at it again. Although the game can feel stiff, like if you've played borderlands and suddenly you decide to play fallout only to realize that you miss the sprint-button.

Or playing some CoD4 and then for some retarded reason starts to play Killzone2

Oh totally.
I played a huge run of CoD4 a while back, and then jumped into Vegas 2.
I died so many times from my own grenade.
MAN it was annoying!

The same thing will happen to be soon, since I've been playing nothing but Dragon Age.
I'm bound to get a game for Christmas, and it's going to slaughter me because I'll be trying to play Dragon Age.

Trying to reload in call of duty 4 with Halo 3 controls. So many team kills.

This only happens to me when I play RSV2 and then switch over to Halo 3, which uses the LB to reload instead of X (Like every other FPS, including Halo 1 and 2) Pillock must've been working at Bungie that day.

Sometimes when I play RTS's like Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 then try to play C&C Kanes Wrath. Made by the same people but the controls are different enough to cause a small level of confusion.

Well, glad to see I'm not the only one :)... thought I was crazy for a minute there...

For the most part I find it's the bumpers that get re-mapped in every game. Also, I've seen some people confuse the location of the "X" button when switching between 360 and PS3... :)

This happens a lot. It's frequently the reason why I change the controls on the keyboard. Like the spacebar. It's for Jump. Nothing else. Why do people insist on changing it? Aside from games that don't require jumping.

If you switch between Need for Speed and Gran Turismo on and off, it does get a little confussing.

I change the controls to be the same, so... nope.

Controls tend to be exactly the same anyway.

Apart from Japanese games and English ones (X and circle etc.)
Oh and COD with SOCOM.
Get the run button and knife button mixed and once ended up killing one my team members on SOCOM which caused this massive arguement that eventually ended up with completely different random dudes.

I remember playing Assassin's creed straight after playing Fallout 3 and hammering the B button at one point to try and pause the game only to have Altair stand there twitching.

Then I realised and felt a fool.
