Does the number of levels in WOW make you less likely to play it?

Yes. It was around about the point my mate went "YES! Just got level 66!" and then 2 days later, after intense playing goes "YES! Level 67!"

I was thinking no around that point, as he still had 13 levels to go. Would just annoy the shit out of me.

Also, I don't want people saying "OmGzzzz I cud raa do that in lyk 3 hourZZzzz lul" because that makes you less that human. Get back in your cage!

You don't have to grind yourself silly to get to a high level, there's a lot of variety.
In fact I like the game because it's so big and gives way, way, way more content than any single player game ever. I mean, I liked Sacred 2 for instance, but the map is quite small. And you can go to level 200... At level 90 I found myself already be ground into a bloody stump.

And I'd say WoW starts at level 20; then you have a mount and a pet and access to everything.
Except the whatever exclusive high level stuff. But I don't care; there's still a bazillion things to do (that I WANT to do) whilst I level slowly but surely.

Considering that the game is all about endgame content and nobody is going to help you level to said content about 1/8 of your quests are inaccessible and if your going solo your going to be a while in some classes which are considerably slow until certain abilities become available. Instances being impossible if playing on a server full of idiots which includes most servers and people. I wouldn't touch WoW with a ten foot pole.

The glories of MMO's that don't like the Multiplayer aspect.

Whatever street you are listening too is full of crap every sever is playable with vanilla wow or expansions installed and will continue that way with cataclysm.
Thanks, I'll double check that source (my friend, who plays WoW a minimum of 4 hours a day and has all the expansions said that all servers require the expansions). Still doubt I'd have the time to commit to even Vanilla WoW for another year or so though.

9Personally I play wow like any other game, expansion releases I level up my character from the previous level cap to the new one, screw around for a bit then I quit till the next expansion.
