Look, Escapist community, we've been together for over a year now, and I think it's getting time for us to get to know each other better. I know, it's all kind of sudden, but I've been thinking about it a while. You're just so nice, I don't want anything to mess up, y'know? It's been fun, but I do think we need to start to get to know one another better. I mean, for as well as I know you, we might as well be strangers. So, tell me a bit about yourself.

So, here's a short poll I wrote for just such an occasion. Please don't lose that clipboard, and I have a pen here if you need it. Thanks much, you're so wonderful to me.

I make electronic music. I hate it when people tell me to tell them a bit about myself in a paragraph or less.

My favorite part of The Escapist is the community and Zero Punctuation (even if I don't agree with Yahtzee on everything, I still think his reviews are good).

My life in music format would be impossible to comprehend with your feeble human mind.

I'm ambidextrous, but from an early age I was taught to write with my right hand so that's the hand I write with.

I'm feeling anxious, but that's normal.

I do have a religious belief, and while it would take a very long time to explain everything, to make it short I'm a Quaker and yes, it's very important to me.

I'd like to go to an anime convention some day.

My favorite food is fried rice, and I love root beer, so of course I would want to have root beer with my fried rice. And wouldn't wine be classified as a "drink"?

Okay, well although my real name isn't Sky, I prefer to be called that (except my family, obviously xD)
My favourite colour is blue, I love most types of music, and I am a very adamant tomboy. >.>
I use a lot of smileys to show how I feel, or to show what sorta emotion I was going for when typing a sentence. ^^ see, happy. I'm usually pretty cheerful, especially when I talk to people I just met, I tend to try and stay positive in front of people because I feel there's no point bringing others down if I happen to be in a bad mood IRL.

Definitely the forums, I used to be here in Off-Topic a lot, but I moved over to the RP Forums sometime last year. I actually don't take as much notice of the video's as I used too, I prefer chatting and being goofy with the other Users, although I do watch the video's when they're up.
(I'm really like the Doraleus thing btw ^^ and sorry for my spelling, I forgot how to spell it D
I'd really like to be a Red Guard, although I know I have no chance, 'cause you have to be picked to do it xD, either that or make a really good thread.

I don't think I could really, There are a lot of songs that kinda fit with how I feel at certain times in my life, but there aren't enough to fully describe it (Even though it's only been short, I'm only just 18 really xD)
I guess you'd have set songs for what mood you're in, although there's always the option of making a Musical based off your life.

4. Are you right or left-handed?

I'm right handed. Although sometimes I forget and have to double check. I don't know my left and right off by heart. >_>

A little crappy actually. I was hungry and went to go eat, but got put off food before I even started cooking. Hey, it happens sometimes, I just gotta wait it out. xD
Just a little down, and a little isolated, I kinda wanna be alone right now, but not cut off completely.

Not really, I do understand why some people find religion so important, and I think it's great that people have stuff to believe in, but I could never do that myself.
I'm not fully anything, I'm certainly not Athiest, but I'm ain't thiest either. I don't really fit in fully with any religion I know of, so I just say I'm not religious when people ask. =P

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?

I've always wanted to CosPlay at an Anime convention or something, I love fancy dress, although I rarely do it. Also I wouldn't mind going to a Trekkie convention, just to see what goes on. I like the 'nerdy' kinda culture, but I'm not really 'hard core' enough to fit into it. =]

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?

Hrmm, anything you can melt cheese onto. ;D
Naah, but really, pasta, gammon, salmon, I like most meats, although not many red meats. My favourite foods that I usually eat or stuff like pasta or rice, or a weird kinda soup I make from potatoes and vegetables, and gravy.
Also cake... I blumming love cake. Chocolate cake.

Drinks, I stick to fizzy drinks, my favourites being Dr Pepper, Pepsi and Irn-Bru. I also like Apple Juice a lot. I hate almost anything alcoholic, as they usually taste really foul.

1) My full name is Connor Joseph Kavanagh. I was born on the 22nd March, 1995. I'm nearly as tall as my Dad, and an approximate value wouldn't be worth it, but he's 6ft, so I'll let your imagination wander. I'm interested in gaming, music, anime, creative writing and being superior to everyone in my township by means of moral highground. I feel as if innocence in child-hood is dead, everyone I know has disregarded the law in bigger ways than littering, and I feel like I am the last bastion of decency, which I am not proud of. I hate my generation, with the few exceptions that glow like the sun on a crisp winter snow. I'm proud of my parents, despite them not having a qualification to their name. I adore them, they raised me properly, and I'm thankful that they decided they wanted a child. Nay, I'm honoured to be what their act of love created.

2) My favourite part of The Escapist? Everything. I was encouraged to join by some friends who were really in to the RP'ing scene here, so I gave you a quick look. I joined because I liked what I saw, and my first RP was Vodoopigs' Resident Evil: Umbrella's City. The name I've made for myself here mainly stems from my career in the RP section, from which I will soon be retiring. I love how up-to-date the news is here, and I'm always the ones with the most gaming know-how to talk about when I meet my friends in school. I plan to stay here for a long time.

3) My life in music huh? I've never really thought about it, but mainly mine would consist of 80's pop and modern love-songs. As a child, I grew up a hopeless romantic, and now I'm running through my teenage years, I've not improved. I always want to treat a girl with the respect they deserve, rather than the respect they get from the womanisers they usually date, but I'm never given a second look, or if I am, it is to insult. The pop, you say? I'm quite bizaare compared with most of my generation, who walk around plugged into their iPods listening to another R&B song about heartbreak. I tend to be rather happy, but in school, people only see the annoyed side of me. If you wonder why I get annoyed at school, it is the most tedious thing I've ever had to do. I can go through each week, only being surprised by a change of the lunch menu.

4) I am right-handed, but hold my knife and fork in the opposite hands. I'm a bit odd that way. Just to add some depth, I require large amounts of room for eating, as my elbows tend to span the table's length.

5) I'm feeling rather upset really, I've spent 3 days planning a new RP and have only had one reply thus far, but I will get over it.

6) I have no religious belief, and if I did, it wouldn't make much of a difference. I don't believe I need to be taught by a collection of books how to live my life like a good person. I do think religion is a good thing though, well, good when applied to the right minds. Some people could do with morals similar to mine, but I'm not going to hold my breath for another me to come along.

7) It would have to be a Square-Enix convention. Especially for the Kingdom Hearts fans. I grew up with the series, and still follow it to this day, with games such as 358/2 days for me to sink my teeth in to.

8) My favourite food item, is Pizza. Meat Feast in particular. I would normally indulge in a drink of lemonade or orange squash to wash it down with.

2. I'm a huge fan of almost all aspects of The Escapist. I mainly stay here for the news feed, but I love the videos, I love the articles and I love the forum community.

3. I would force people to listen to my band 'Doctor Nut'. Although I'm not a bassist, I'm the bassist of this band. But the music itself expresses my main interest. Complexity, Progression, Heavy and Light, as well as not being serious in the slightest. Other than this, there's actually only a very, very small amount of music that I will refuse.

4. Right handed. Would love to say I'm cool and ambidextrous, but I'm not.

5. Feeling pretty awesome to be honest. Recently aced my college course, had a nice relaxing gap year, soon studying games tech at university, got plenty of amazing friends, got a long-term girlfriend, got a cool band on the go. Everything's cool.

6. Religion really isn't important to me in the slightest. I'm an atheist but not the forceful kind, unless it's a retaliation to a forceful religious claim.

7. Tricky one for me. Most of my obsessive interests don't really have conventions. I guess I'd be happy to go to an E3 convention.

8. Something sweet. I don't really have a single favourite because it's different depending on my mood. So... Chocolate / Cake / Brownies / Custard. I despise talking about myself (obviously I mean personal things, as opposed to general).

Considering I spend most of my time on the forums I'd have to say it's them, even if they have been boring me recently. I'm not afraid to try anything on here, I just look at things that catch my interest and ignore things that don't.

Both, in a manner of speaking. I write/paint/draw/use scissors with my left hand, and use my right hand for most other things such as sports/throwing and so on. Basically, if it requires precision I use my left, if it requires strength I use my right.

OK, I've been up since 3:30am this morning for work (It's 9:30pm here at the moment) and want to go to sleep soon, except I promised to give a lift to somebody, so I'm killing time here. So tired, achy and a little impatient. As for my mood I'd go with "meh" at the moment, I haven't had the energy to do much and have not been very cheery the last few days.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?

Nothing specific, I would be described as "Agnostic" but I don't have any set belief beyond "God probably doesn't exist, but even if it does, we couldn't prove it anyway". I'd like to believe there is more to life than what there appears to be, but can't quite bring myself to believe (or discount) it. I do enjoy discussing religion, although not on this site as most people are not mature enough.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?

Bioshock, although seeing people mangle Big Daddy costumes online is painful. There have been some impressive ones though. I don't particularly like conventions though, but seeing as most of my friends don't like/haven't played the series it would be nice to meet people who do/have.

Pizza, always. Drink-wise either Coke or Dr Pepper, I don't mind re wine but it's not the kind of drink to go with Pizza, I also don't tend to like having alcohol with meals anyway.
