My rule of thumb is that I'll have time to listen to it elsewhere. What I'm listening to is probably not going anywhere.

And think about it, putting on headphones when you're with someone may make that person feel kind of lonely. With earbuds, I keep the volume low enough to hear people and with headphones I keep one end in and the other around my neck.

No one likes to be ignored--someone may think that headphones are your way of ignoring them. It's a tad juvenile, yes. But everyone feels lonely sometimes and earphones were made so that the wearer doesn't disturb others, not to shut the wearer off from the world... (Don't quote me on that).

Not happened to me. On the other hand, I've had similar problems when using a whipper snipper, and me dad tries to tell me something.

This is particularly annoying because he can obviously hear the fucking thing, and using the whipper snipper pisses me off anyway.

No one i can recall has been seriously been offended or offended me for listening to music.
I almost always wear headphones when i'm doing something boring outside.
Do you people live in rude city?
