I think this is disgusting and a disgrace.

Would you be happy if this was being done to the national emblem of your country? It's damn revolting for any Australian. Please let everyone know that this is no way to treat any animal, let alone a national symbol. Excuse me i have to go vomit.

They have a poll on the site.

The simple fact they're willing to do that to any animal, national symbol or otherwise, is horrific. I'm glad the poll is currently at 75% saying it should be banned from being done.

Couldn't they have done something more fun? If they're going to abuse animals, at least do something creative.

Not that I support it or anything, I'm just saying. Just because you're a douche doesn't mean you have to be an unoriginal douche.

I still think that 75% isn't great. I can't believe that even 25% of people can think that it's okay.

Why does the fact that it's in Texas not surprise me? Some people are sick.

Well that was horrible to watch. I'm kind of surprised that that sort of thing still goes off to be honest... and that 25% of the poll thought it was okay?

Don't they have animal laws in America? Or ones that prohibit boxing a Kangaroo?

But then again we are culling them in our own country too.

I don't see how this is more offensive than say... Bear wrestling, or Crocodile wrestling.

Admittedly, it would have been cooler if they didn't have the protective measures. That Kangaroo kicked some ass.

I find it funny how people boxing for our entertainment is completely fine.

So forcing bears to dance is illegal but driving a kangaroo into an insane boxing frenzy is A-okay?
Excuse me, I need to find the mystical and long-forgotten item known as common sense.

Give me a call when you've found it, please. (I wanted to do a missing-wife joke here, but that would've been too lame)

If they refrain from dressing the animal & make it so that the Kangaroo can fight but the human can't hit back, then it should be tollerable, if they give the Kangaroo a great deal of food & set it free afterwards. Instead of "Boxing Kangaroo," it would just be "Human Punching Bag." Well, I dunno if they'd set it free. It's probably a trained pet some guy raised from a baby.

Or just play it safe & get some guy in a mascot costume.

I'd love to see them take the 'roo off the leash and without the gloves. It would probably kill the clown.

25% isn't too bad to be honest. Considering enough people were sick enough to find it worth broadcasting, only a quarter of all voters is a fairly good outcome. Obviously it's still bad that there's 25% of people liking this..but there are a lot of horrible people in this world -points at /b/ for reference-

I don't even know how to react.
Inbridled disgust is one feeling
Pity is another, but I can only think about just how many people were laughing and cheering and celebrating animal cruelty. There were even some children.

It is but a legend, a myth, a FABLE, you are on a fools journey!

On topic, I think this was pretty fucked up however I would have been completely fine with it if the leash was off the Roo, I'm positive that it could have torn that clown apart.

Well, that was pretty disgusting. I don't usually wish bad things on people, but if one of the kangaroos managed to really hurt one of the people involved, well, maybe next time around they won't abuse animals.

I think that may actually be the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Harming or humiliating animals for 'entertainment' isn't.
