Does your console want you to play games?

Today I turned on my 360 to play me some Skyrim and I noticed something. On the new Xbox 360 dashboard the button you press to select the game in the disc drive is tiny.

It bothers me that my console appears to care more about getting me interested in some dlc or netflix bollocks than it does about me playing an actual game. The console is a dedicated piece of hardware, it's primary purpose is the playing of games. Everything else is what home computers are for.

Am I alone here?

That's all me and my console care about, Sometimes we download new trailers and demo's but that's it really. I'm pretty sure the button for selection has been the same size since the first Xbox 360.

No, it has got smaller.

Whilst I do use my Xbox for plenty of other things aside from gaming, I agree that it's a pretty insulting sales tactic.

Gaming is the only thing I use my PS3 for, I go on and download demos if I'm bored, If I like the game theres a good chance I'l buy the game.

Well ocasional I'd stick a DVD or BluRay in.
