Just wondering as i normally find my mind will wander on subjects being told to me but i'll focus on numerous things in my mind on topics and ideas that are floating in my head. I may not pay them attention but there happening. So just wondering anyone else like this or does their head do its own little thing.

I am usually thinking about something in great detail. I glanced at a billboard on the highway and spent the rest of the day mentally building one.

I can become focused, but most of the time I'm thinking at least one thing, and probably about a couple of things.

Occasionally I wish I could turn my brain off, when I'm thinking about things that I don't want to think about on some level. If I've got something in my head, it's hard to distract me from it, though people have tried.

yeah its normal, depending on the situation, if you feel like you can never concentrate on a single thing no matter how much you enjoy it, you might have a problem, im not sure about what the english term it but i think its ADD, attention disorder something, but if its only when you are bored then its completely normal, for instance my brain goes into daydreaming mode whenever i travel, no matter the distance, its kinda like a self defence system against boredom, last time i took the bus i was a Nobel price winner.

I can focus really well, it's what helps me play RTS games.

I actually get annoyed at people who don't give their full attention to whatever they're supposed to, even if it's a movie. You said you'd watch a movie with me, so sit down and watch the damn movie, dammit! Stop playing with your iPhone and your nails and your fancy-schmancy what-have-you's...

*decends into senile ranting*

My mind wanders constantly, but I'm usually thinking as well. Like, wandering through my thoughts in a way, I suppose. I have a little trouble concentrating at times, but I can usually pay attention if I make the effort to do so.

My mind never stops wandering....

What? I was thinking of my next novel idea. You'll have to talk to me later.

Constantly... Staying interested in the same thing for a longer period of time is VERY hard for me unless it's VERY down my street, which is why school was just many years of wasted time on my part. I learned almost nothing from all those years, everything I do know is stuff that I've learn in other ways because I was interested in it.

My mind likes to wander but I can keep it focused if I need to. It is generally the source of my 'what if' storys so I can live with it wandering as it keeps me entertained. It's my constant companion, my paranoia and the only think that gives me sense from my imagination.

Sometimes I can have an idea ticking over in my mind for weeks, adding to it to improve it, it keeps my mind focused. Unfortunatly not always on my school work...

I'm sorry what?

OT: My head does often come up with some weird things and it does wander frequently in my leisure time, but when I'm at school doing work I force out the joyful imagination so I can finish my work and pass with good grades.

I daydream constantly. I find it really hard to concentrate on what other people are saying if there is music on or the TV. I already have (to a degree) synaesthesia so certain sounds and melodies mean I see colours so that's really distracting enough as it is. Usually yellow :)

(On a side note, someone I know smells of the colour yellow!! It's so cool)

But yeah I do find it hard to concentrate on one train of thought. And I forget other people usually stay on conversation and I start responding with ideas or answers after having a huge thought process in some opposite direction.

Basially I make little sense in one thread of conversation haha
And I flick between conversation topics on xbox live too. People who talk with me get confused. It's bad. Can't help it shrug
