You know when Crysis came out and everyone decided to buy new PCs, using Crysis as a marker point for how powerful your pc of the future should be? Well just how powerful is your PC today?

Can you run Crysis, can you run sims 2, or can you only run Red Alert.....the first one.

How powerful is your PC in game terms, NOT SPECS!

(Why game terms? Because specs are boring -_- Its like measuring your...)

Crysis 2 is much, much easier to run than Crysis 1.

Crysis one requires a beast of a computer partially because it has good graphics, but mostly because memory leaks and all around terrible optimization on its engine. Crysis 2 looks better/the same as Crysis one but is significantly easier to run.

On topic, do not own Crysis and Metro 2033 was too horrible to play beyond the one hour mark so the two benchmark graphics games that everyone cites I have no experience with.

If I remember correctly, my computer can run the Crysis demo (I dont' have the full game, but it looks awesome) at medium settings with no problems whatsoever. And it's still freaking beautiful.

Huh, I didn't know that. Thank you for the info (though to be fair part of me just wanted to show off that I got the nano edition for free, sorry internet won't happen again

my laptop is very bad, when it starts overheating it goes from 40fps to 3fps in Ace of Spades, the creator of the game says that the specs for that game are "even your grandmother's rig could run this game) I have no money =(

And blows up.
I really don't think my systen is even capable of doing something as awesome as exploding.

I've never installed Crysis on my laptop, but I can play Metro 2033 on it on medium settings at 52 FPS. I could run it on high, but the frame rate would dip down to the point of annoying me. Still playable though.

Sims 2 was a benchmark?

Anyway, while my main computer is currently down, I'm using an old desktop computer. It can't run Neverwinter Nights 2 without me turning the settings all teh way down. It can handle Team Fortress 2, though (though the settings are all in the middle-to-low range. It doesn't really look all that different than it normally does to me though).

I don't know, I imagine it could run Crysis if I've never been interested in Crysis so I've never bothered to put it through that trial. It's run Fallout 3 and Oblivion and Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 1 & 2 without difficulty.

My laptop runs Crysis on mostly low settings with about five on medium. But the menu crashes when I apply the changes.

Bizarrely, even though it runs Crysis as smooth as soapy ice, it lags to Hell and back on Minecraft SMP...
