Ok so I assumed if he died it would take a while and they’d at least have the resources for him to limp through a week or two but apparently he is degrading fast???

Nah. They just want to make sure they can act as quickly as possible and being in the hospital is the best way to do that. Besides, they may have been more worried about him having a stroke or heart attack as the news of everyone he knows being infected and his anti Mask rhetoric came crashing down around him. I would be more worried about people who came in contact with the super spreader who infected everyone around him causing others to die from this. Now Biden, his staff and family are going to be continually tested for the next couple of weeks, as well as reporters and people they have been in contact with all due to Trumps anti mask anti social distancing policies. They need to locate the super spreader ASAP because there is no telling how many people they have infected thus far. Super spreaders do not even need to have any symptoms themselves to infect hundreds, thousands of people.

We have had people test negative 3 times and still be positive you know? He needs to "wait and see" before he knows for sure or not. We have a terribly high false negative rate. It has been an ongoing issue that we have never actually resolved yet. This is a well known and widespread problem at this point. The rapid tests they are using are also the most likely to give false negatives.

At least, if he is not reelected, he can no longer block the investigation into his taxes, so at minimum he will be held accountable for his tax fraud, which I actually think was his motivation for running for President at all when you look at the time frame of him running and getting in way over his head. He may still be held accountable of other crimes if Biden allows investigations to go forward once trump can no longer interfere with them. That is a big IF though because Biden may not think it is even worth the time to prosecute Trump. I am hoping his DOJ and FBI disagree because by not holding Trump accountable for his many crimes against the US, he is encouraging another to do the same.

Biden even pulled his " attack ads" because poor little Donnie was ill. You know no way in hell would Trump do that, Trump instead would be making ads attacking Biden's health because that is just who he is. Biden was entirely too polite in the debate as well. Calling trump a clown and telling him to shut up wasn't nearly enough considering Trump's behavior.

Hopefully though that due to the nature of Trump's offenses and the willingness we have of his own officials to testify against him with this parade of trump's best people telling us he is dangerous and needs to be removed from office that will make it a bit easier to investigators, as they are not lacking people willing to cooperate with their investigation at this point. It is just Trump did so many things, it will take forever just to address them all or to even figure out which ones to go after and which ones to let go so they can focus on more serious offenses.

Vaccine's no use when you've already got the infection. It works by activating the body's own immune system to fight the disease, but this takes the same sort of time course as an infection itself, which will have already activated the body's own immune response anyway. In a worst case scenario when there's risk of a hyperimmune response ("cytokine storm"), it's potentially dangerous.

Either way, we have had people repeatedly test negative in our hospital labs yet still become seriously ill or even die from it. That is why people are supposed to self isolate for 18 days after coming in contact with an infected person regardless of test results so that we can be sure it wasn't missed due to either not having enough of the virus in their mucus to be tested, or not having enough mucus for it to show up in the tests or another unknown factor that we have overlooked that could be impacting test results, as we have only been researching this virus for under a year now and we still have this issue on tests for other viruses that we have been researching for years now so we always leave the possibility of the unknown..

It is completely right and appropriate that the White House has extensive infection control measures, that's not the problem.

What infuriates me is these fucks who grant themselves these extensive, privileged measures on taxpayer funds then tell the rest of the population to just get on with it. Don't bother with masks, don't ensure available testing, send your kids to school as if they're immune from spreading infection, etc. No wonder Trump can afford to be blase about a mask when he's got a battalion of protective measures and health checks for most anyone who comes near him.

I totally get that rolling out similar checks for the whole population is effectively impractical. But it just absolutely stinks to downplay control for the population whilst taking their money to protect oneself.
