[sub]The TSI reports threads, users, and groups that break the site rules like advertisers, flaming, hardcore trolls, porn links, etc. It faces scrutiny at times from certain users and is blamed for getting some users with a large track history banned or in trouble. Mods run the group and review the links. Recently one user was banned and the TSI was blamed for it that we were after that user and that the mods hated that user. Just a bunch of drama.[/sub]

[sub]Whatever the case, I can't get rid of their avatar in that active group window thing... Drama doesn't appeal to me, especially on the internet. I guess people put too much of their lives/self-esteem into their avatars or something.[/sub]

[sub]Well that was the last time. Usually we report straight to the mods and it gets taken care of. We just do what we can and some user do have very large egos and when they leave there is a vacuum left and people start complaining that without the celebs the site is going to ruin and blah blah blah. You know, the usual stuff. Mainly the group is used to report rule breakers to the mods directly since a few mods are in the group itself. We are fairly active because sometimes the threads get really cluttered. Although we aren't as active today as normal.[/sub]

[sub]Yeah that's why it's controversial. Mainly people don't like the idea that someone maybe watching to see if their post is acceptable or not and feel that we may hate a user or someone and report them for that. That's not the case at all since while I've been in there hasn't been a single case of that unless they were an obvious rule breaker. If we honestly didn't exist there would be many threads and users out there making millions of bad threads that are rule breaking everywhere. We don't go into Religion and Politics section or the Advice forum though. It's really a good group whose mission is good but people don't like to think positively about things at times you know?[/sub]
