They're most popular in the US. Know why? Because the the US Food And Drug Administration is FAR too lax in what they allow in processed foods. The FDA is a joke.

In NZ I seriously doubt Doritos taste anything like the US version, thanks to your food laws.
You know that in terms of nutritional value, Doritos are one of the best crispy snack foods on the market right?

(I know, it's like comparing which SUV is best for the environment, but still.)
Tree bark is crispy and good for you. Doesn't mean we wanna eat it in any quantity. ;)

Tree bark is part of this balanced breakfast:

"What rolls down stairs alone or in pairs
Rolls over your neighbor's dog?
What's great for a snack and fits on your back?
It's Log, Log, Log!

It's Log, Log, it's big, it's heavy, it's wood.
It's Log, Log, it's better than bad, it's good!
Everyone wants a log! You're gonna love it, Log!
Come on and get your log! Everyone needs a Log!"

Speak for yourself!

*noms on tree bark*
That would explain why you poop reams of paper like an old dot-matrix printer.

Also, the termite breath.

On the bright side, you can pretty much nail any hippychick in the world.

Ah, Ren & Stimpy. How I have missed thee, without whom early 90's MTV would have been so dull, and I'd likely be dead; unknowingly whizzing on an electric fence.

I have no idea what the big deal about them is. Actually, I find the smell of them rather nauseating and can barely breathe when someone in the vicinity opens a bag. :/

Being a connoisseur of chips (THESE ARE THE BEST CHIPS YOU SHALL EVER EAT!) I enjoy the taste of doritos, it just depends on what brand you're talking. Personally I relish the good ol' Mexicana flavour but I find that all of them go down well in a nice Nacho dish or with a good salsa dip.

Doritos are interesting in that they contain basically no natural ingredients whatsoever. Okay, slight exaggeration there...very slight, probably.

I do always find myself amazed when I wind up at the register at a local convenience store and they have out a display with Doritos "flavors" - it seems every few months they come out with something even stranger than before, and occasionally they are so weird, I buy a small bag just to give them a try. Sometimes they're awful (the new Late Night Cheeseburger is disgusting, but that's probably because it tastes too much like pickle and I despise pickles), sometimes they're okay (the Late Night Jalapeno was pretty decent), and sometimes they're actually pretty good (the Black Pepper Jack worked really well for me...of course they discontinued that one).

Probably the most bizarre one I've seen was the "Quest mystery flavor" they came up with a while ago which attempted to blend two gamer addictions by creating Mountain Dew-flavored Doritos. Although apparently the Oriental markets have Sausage, Peking Duck, and Fried Chicken and Green Onion Sauce flavors, which may be even odder.

I know some don't like them but damn I have a thing for cheese supreme doritos. Also stoners would starve without them, what did NZ stoners eat until recently? Other than cereal of course. Every stoner I know lives on chips (usually doritos) and cereal.
