not bought a ticket yet, the line-up isn't as attractive as last year... so far only offspring, motorhead, incubus, disturbed, CoB and alter bridge are doin it for me... and even then some of those are only bands i'd see cos i'm already there. It should improve.

Aye, Reading is the place to be this year. Me and a friend had a lengthy discussion about this during a pub crawl earlier this week. Punchline was Download this year = Naff. It seems to alternate though, last year it was great. (or so I heard)

course all these pale in comparison when you add to the equation Dimmu Borgir headlining Bloodstock in August...still all these festivals are ludicrously overpriced so doubt Ill end up at any

I'm thinking of going, as I went last year and it was ace, but this years line up doesn't look so good... hopefully it'll improve soon and they'll be a decent alternative on the second stage to lost prophets. I really don't want to have to watch them.

i've been the past 4 times and it's gradually been worse every year, but the best performance was Metallica playing the whole of Master of Puppets in '06 poor festival, great performance.

This year looks really poor, don't think i'll be going at all, I'm going to check out Leeds instead.

The problem is, the promoters seem to be catering for the emo/nu-metal/younger audience rather than Donington's traditional Heavy Metal roots, which I can't stand.

I'm not a Rage Against the Machine fan so I don't see the big deal. heck...I don't understand any of this "metal" that's 90% rap.

Just one question...is Metallica gonna be there? I just want to see a bunch of "that's ironic" comments again.
