Don't buy Bioshock, I did for $5 and I kinda regret it. It's a hybrid of RPG and FPS, not enough RPG for me and not enough FPS for me.

Go for Orange Box. Or Beyond Good and Evil. Oh, you got them... you can try Smashball, it's free, but takes a moment to adapt.

You missed out Braid. That's good.
Hurts your brain, but good.
Veeeeeeeeeeeery painful, but good.

Bioshock is good then? Might take a trip to get it...

World in Conflict. Cool Real Time Tactics game with loads of 'splodey action! I'm usually a strategy snob (as in I only like very specific strategy titles, not that I only like strategy) but this one pleasantly surprised me.

i got (installed):

Prototype
I'm really considering prototype, My only concern is that i don't have a controller for pc i'm stuck with the ol' keyboard and mouse and since it's an action game i figured it would all be about button combos and stuff.

Can anyone confirm that the controls are well suited to keyboard? or should i give it a miss until i get a controller for my pc
they are well suited ;) never used a controller for any of my PC games (only a flight stick to HAWX...but thats it) the controls are easy to learn and quick to remember
