One thing I reeeeally hate...is the stereotype. I am a console gamer. I like controllers and the set up of consoles, but at heart I am more akin to a PC player. So it offends me to be viewed as a meat head who just wants simplicity and action just because I dont like a big keyboard as my controller. Bad enough PC elitists looking down on me, but the devs too, thats just crap.
This. The people I know who primarily game on consoles aren't stupid or turned off by complexity, but they are perceived that way by developers for some reason. They then "streamline" the games, sometimes making the game way worse, and the people who were fans of the previous game become frustrated and direct their anger at the people they believe this new game was catered to.
Same here. I do a lot of my gaming on PC, but the majority on console. Thats both for financial reasons, and I do like controllers.

Of course, that puts me in an awkward situation, since by some peoples reckoning the dumbing down is my fault for being a console gamer, despite the fact that I hate Biowares company wide dumbing down tactics. Also, it is clear that Bioware think console gamers need more idiotic games. Just because it better suits my financial situation to buy a console that lasts about 5-6 years so that I only have to worry about buying games, and also enjoy the controller doesnt mean Im a moron who needs an emphasis on action and simplifying everything.

BioFail

(BioFail- A Term Used When Video Game Companies Go Insane And Start Making Horrible Games.)

Examples Include DA2, ME2, The Old Republic.

They just don't make them like they use to.

They're forcing us to play as a human in a fantasy RPG. That's like forcing us to play as an accountant.
I know voice acting can make that an issue, but couldn't they just have made Hawke a dwarf instead?
There were no dwarves in Lothering.

The Old Republic isn't out yet, and is an MMO so it doesn't count.

I'll agree with DA2.

I thought ME2 was superior to ME1, despite the loss of RPG elements. Lair of the Shadowbroker was also excellent. I don't really see how you could lump a quality game like ME2 with the rushed, ill-thought-out DA2...

What I meant is that BioWare is losing its Epic touch.

Things Like KOTOR and the other originals are gems to me.

Hence the phrase "They dont make them like they use to."
