I know that probably this has been written one thousand times, but:
What is the thing you like the most in DA2? And the one you like the least?
As for me,

Most: The combat system, which takes more than a "storm of the century" or simply blizzard as in DA"O to finish the game.
Least: Since I am a PC gamer, the fact that there is no toolset for modding sucks hard.

Your opinion?

Most: Toss up between the characters and the fact that the story has more of a low fantasy feel to it, because honestly low fantasy doesn't get nearly enough love in video games.

Least: Either the few glitches I came across that really should have been caught before the release, as I really hate glitches, especially ones that could break the chain of events, or the constant reuse of maps without even bothering to alter the minimap.

OFF: I would bloody well love it if more games nowadays used either a low fantasy or urban fantasy setting, neither of those get much love and both are some of my favorite form of literature.

I second this.

Adorable female Welsh Dalish Elves are very underrepresented in games.

Angsty douchebag twats, are not.
Stole the words right out of my mouth.

It was also nice, as an Irishman, to see the elves had genuine Irish voice actors, not like the awful Darby O'Gill Irish accents in Rockstar games.

If you ever want to know what a real Irish accent sounds like, talk to the Dalish Keeper.

Most: Your main charicter's background was more realistic and fleshed out.

Least: WAY too much repetitive unimportant combat, half the time I didn't even know why people were attacking me. I was once attacked by several mages for no reason, and it was never mentioned again.

Most: Characters, story, buildup, etc.

Least: Forcing Anders as a healer and Avaline as a tank unless you want to try some crazy new way to tank on Fenris or using lots of potions and pray that Merril keeps that shield up. (Unless of course Hawke wants to heal or tank...)

Most: I can have a witty Hawke.

Least: I'm not sure if it's the times that the game froze up or the fact that it felt like Dragon Age 1.5 (The middle great story that leads to the big great story).

MOST: Mundane problems (like needing cash), moral ambiguities (do I slaughter people in the name of order, or of freedom?), the detailed urban setting - all those things that make it less like generic high fantasy.

LEAST: The monotony of reused maps and repetitive combat.

Best: Mages feel like masters of the Arcane. The trade-off for damage over survivability feels realistic, this coming from an ex-WoW player who loved his Mage. Also, Bow was pretty awesome. HUGE improvement from DA:O.
Worst: Why isn't there a "Shut the hell up Anders!" button?

MOST: Trollface conversation options, i love it, a 3rd dimension to the good ol' good an' evil choices in games, can't wait for other games to take this on, imagine Mass Effect 3 having three bars, Paragon, Renegade & Troll!

LEAST: The Story & Quests were underwhelming at best.

Most: Merril

Least: Being restricted to having very specific characters REQUIRED to do certain things (Tank, heal, etc.)

Best thing: The new ability trees

Worst thing: Repeat environments

Most: Combat improvements. It felt more like an action game, which is more interesting to me than Origins' sloooooow tactical combat. I could do without some of the throw-away enemies and the wave fights were overused somewhat, but overall it was a huge improvement.

Least: Re-used dungeons and terrain. I could navigate most dungeons with my eyes closed by the end of the game, because I'd already been in them 5 times before.

Most: Party banter, Merril, the Arishok.
Least: Where to start? Magical spawning enemy waves, reuse of dungeons, JRPG feel to it, Emo McMopeypants (Fenris), lack of overall narrative thread linking the three chapters, over-the-top button mashing combat, explodey enemy deaths...

Bioware do (and always have done) characters and dialogue really really well. They don't do so well at actual gameplay mechanics.

Least: Reused dungeons.

Most: 1st RPG ever that made mages look cool (I mean playing as mage, not the whole blood magic/freedom angst).

Most: Snarky speech options and Fenris. Oh, and Sandal. Sandal is just awesome.

Least: Merrill. Well, more precisely, Merrill's voice. I'm a huge fan of Torchwood, but I hate Gwen with a fiery passion, so hearing Gwen's voice coming out of Merrill fills me with an instinctive rage.

I also hated the waves of extra enemies constantly spawning from nowhere.

Most is Merrill. I love her.

Anders and Fenris both need to take a long walk off of a short bridge. They are so bent in their ways that they can't see that some mages are good/evil, and some Templars are good/evil. Also, that GLITCH in Merrill's final quest. You know of what a speak. GAME. BREAKING. GLITCH! And with my favorite character too.
