I'm going Rogue archer. I just completed a Dragon Age: Origins + Awakening and all DLc run and it was my most fun playthrough. After that...I might go dual wield rogue. Then Mage. Then a weapon (probably blunt) and shield Warrior.

I am a rogue through and through.

The mage in DA1 was so over powered lol. Hopefully they toned them down a notch or two.
I hope they keep mage the same and make the pther classes "Not Shit". Seriously Rogue was ridiculously stupid in DA1.
If that's what you think, then you're not doing it right. My DA:O archer was regularly dishing out 1000 damage.

I want to play all three classes. Usually I play a mage first, because mages are awesome. However, this time I'm seriously considering playing a female rogue before I roll my male mage, partly because I kind of want Bethany over Carver, and partly because the party members I'm most interested in are mages and warriors.

I'll probably do a playthrough of every class, though my first will most likely be a warrior.
Yeah pretty much this. I wish I could say more, but Ultrachicken hit the nail on the head with that one.

I'm going to try out the warrior and tackle battles like a 3rd person action game, and see if i survive. I didn't in Dragon Age Origins, if Dragon Age 2 claims to be more flexible in their battle system, then i will survive.
After which i will try out the other two classes in a more tactical sense, because it was fun, even if you eventually realized that you were forced to tactically micro-manage battles if you wanted to survive.

I heard Mages were ridiculously overpowered? I personally have never played through with a mage character just yet, because all the choice in specialization for mages downright intimidates me.

So I'll probably start with a Rogue. On my first play through I played a Noble Dwarven Warrior, and not having lockpick abilities really bugged me in the Witch Hunt DLC.
