Okay, yes, this CGI Trailer is cool. But remember this CGI?

Yeah, the game didn't exactly look like that either. Now if these were trailers for Dragon Age movies, I think I would be more excited. But it's trailers like these that make people disappointed. I hate trailers like this, they don't really tell you much about the game at all. I want to see some real in game action.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still looking forward to the game. But I don't put much stock into the eye candy Bioware likes to trot out as a "Trailer" for the game.

If by limiting us to playing as human makes the game better overall it's not really an issue. And you can customize your character.

"Slashing through countless enemies like a knife through butter" < that was said by someone who was watching a demo of the game being played, by a character that was a knight. Knights tend to hack and slash to victory, yes?

It hasn't gone anywhere it has just evolved.

There has been quite a bit of information confirmed on the BioWare forums by the people who are making the game just click it if you want to find out what that stuff is > http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/141/index/3064634/1

Sure, but some people may still not like it (for now). As I said, we'll see how the final game turns out.

You can't please everyone. I trust BioWare to make DA 2 in a way that they think will make it the best that it can be. That's enough for me. It's not like they just go around releasing bad games. It just seems some people (not necessarily you or that other guy) seem to believe that the changes are for the worst. But whether they are good or bad we can't tell yet. We all just have to wait and see.

It's great how people hold the gameplay of the Dragon Age: Origins to some sacred thing. As long as they get away from their simplified WoW gameplay I'll enjoy the game much more then the first.

Also, the BioWare forums are terrible. The extremely vocal minority of "I am entitled" people there, make me sick. They over react to every little thing.
I think most people are just sad to see the original Dragon Age concept go. It's not like there are many games left like it in the genre... if any. Whereas 3rd person action rpg are plentiful, hell I can think of 4 coming in the future off the top of my head: Mass Effect 3 (Eventually), Gothic 4, Two Worlds 2, and The Witcher 2 which looks to be absolutely brilliant.

Tactical isometric party-based rpg with customizable characters however? There was one left in that sadly dwindled genre, and that was Dragon Age. Now there are none.

Pity because many of the best rpg ever made were like that, Baldur's Gate especially. And now it's a dead genre.
Read through this:

It doesn't seem as if the changes are quite so drastic. The only part that really is completely changed is the character customisation, which could be a great loss, but which could also allow for even better storytelling. Of course we'll have to wait for the finished game to see whether those changes work out for the better or the worse.

Wow. That trailer is very impressive- and established that the game is probably going to be slightly more brutal that the first one, and rather than being a "making the story as you play", you seem to have an origin story to explore.

This is probably just me, but it seems like people are forgetting the "Origins" part of the first game. You play and create the origin of one Grey Warden, who's story will carry on later on. Dragon Age II, on the other hand, is about one person's journey to claim his throne.

Perhaps, in the third game, the Warden and Hawke join forces? Hmh... "The Gryphon and the Bird of Prey"?
