Or be happy that you've never dealt with archers in Dwarf Fortress. In the old version they would somehow pierce both your eyes and mouth at the same time. In the new version, they cause the same problem you're facing with the melee bum-rushing thing, only they're going to be whacking people with the crossbow itself instead of switching to a proper weapon.The Amazing Tea Alligator said:
