Title says it all.

The third installment of Bioware's popular Dragion Age series will eventually be hitting the shelves. Now as this is the presumably last entry into this franchise, I would like to know exactly what fans will be expecting of it. Perhaps a returning character or plot thread.

Thouhg personally I just hope to finally see what Morrigan's big plan was, not to mention my character's child with her.

But what is it you are all hoping to see in the third DA game?

That The Escapist won't let Tito review it, arf arf.

The reaction to his score was...heated, to put it one way.

But joking aside, I'm definitely glad Morrigan and Varric are both returning. I wouldn't mind Fenris, just for Gideon Emery's voice.

I'm expecting yet another Bioware psychiatrist spree where you have to deal with family issues.

I'm expecting to get a lot of what we've gotten from SW:TOR, Mass Effect 3, and Dragon Age II; mediocrity masquerading as the best the WRPG genre has to offer. After they completely botched Dragon Age II, I will not be making another purchase of this franchise. I'll rent the game to make sure Bioware gets none of my money, and I'll wait to see just how bad the sequel gets.

They've already said that the dialogue wheel will make a return (yuck!), and that it is taking cues from Skyrim (disgraceful and not true to Dragon Age at all!). Things are off to a great start.

I just don't get why Bioware can't let Dragon Age be Dragon Age. Don't borrow from Mass Effect, and definitely have nothing to do with that mess of a game called Skyrim. Look toward the original game and take your cues from the entry to the series that fans really loved.

Project eternity, RTW 2 or Dragon age inquisitor. Choice is pretty easy considering that abortion they called dragon age 2.

I'm hoping that they don't turn there back on the story because some people complained about 2, I liked it and I want to see the conclusion

Also there is no reason to think that there isn't scope for other stories set in that world, off the top of my head you could make a game about the founding of the warders or Andrestie's campaign

Pretty sure they've said the third game won't be the last.

ENCHANTMENT!?

But, seriously, after DA2 I'm not sure what to expect. Judging from the trailer, Cassandra will have a major role, which is good because her character seems interesting (She's clearly a closet dwarf fancier).

I'm guessing there'll be dragons.

At the end, the ghost of Duncan will appear and tell me that I can either drop a psychic bomb in the Fade which will immediately tranquilize all mages, turn into a demon which will transform all mages into abominations under my command, but if I've been a good boy/girl/indeterminate and played online multiplayer a lot and/or pre-purchased the game and day 1 DLC, I'll also have the option to become one with the Fade and end the mage/templar conflict once and for all.

Yes I just went there.

none at all, as I am more excited for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I would also prefer if they omitted gay relationships in their Dragon Age games, it's one thing if they include it in Mass Effect, but in the setting of Dragon Age it just feels out of place given the time period it draws inspiration from.
umm why?

There are lots of articles which show samesex sex was quite prevalent in the late middle ages and renaissance period. Hell Leonardo Da Vinci was more than likely gay

I expect a mild and safe RPG with some fun characters and dialogue that will try really, really hard to rip off Skyrim.

I didn't mean the renaissance -_-... I just feel that it is inappropriate for fantasy settings drawing inspiration from the middle ages. the renaissance doesn't count, as that is pretty much it's own era in Europe, it's very different in tone than the middle ages.

Loved Origins, hated DA2. And after ME3 and DA2, my expectation is that it will be a piece of shit.

So.... sky's the limit, I guess. I'll probably rent it.

Would it put you at ease if they lowered the age of the available males? Then, it would be a more appropriate draw from the inspirational source.

I hope we get to play as Hawke again, because there's something endearing about a character who can crack wise over the mangled corpse of his own mother.

I guess that could work...

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I'm expecting it to be limited to origin so I won't be getting it.
