Just cruising around the Something Awful forums and checking out the Dragon Age 2 Let's Play, when I found this in the comments.

Pretty close huh? And if you tilt the map of Thedas, that puts Orlais, the Dragon Age French, right around the Montreal Area in relation to the Quebec Map.

I also find it funny that this comparison makes the Korcari Wilds to the immediate south, as if civilization just drops off the map once you leave Ferelden/Ontario.

So, funny comparison aside, you all seem to want some discussion value, so: have you ever found a humorous real life parallel in a game you own?

Every Pokemon game (Except White and black) map is designed from part of Japan. On various angles etc.

Oh and i'm only referring to the "proper" Pokemon games, so things like mystery dungeon and all those other sorts of ones don't count.

I remember one of the gamecube pokemon games had a sort of mad max vibe with it. Motorcycles and deserts or something.

Kind of offended when the only civilization drops off in the south east, and the world of Dragon Age is solely on that continent. So Maritimers are elves, eh? At least they got the Gaelic thing right.

No wonder I find Skyrim boring.
One might suggest that you were just saying such things in order to get an angered response.

OT: Of course Dragon's Age happens in Canada, we're awesome like that. Upon closer inspection it does kinda seem like the Dragon Age devs used that map as a reference.

I may suggest, then, that one takes the idle comments of some joker on the internet far too seriously.

We are talking about Dragon age not Skyrim.
How right you are. It's so often the topic of discussion that even I've got it in my subconscious, apparently. Embarrassing.

Fortunately (?), I also don't care for Dragon Age.

(Aside: My assessment of Canada's excitement level isn't even meant to be against it; I find exciting places stressful anyway.)
