for example steam is the only online retailer that does not have a return policy.
How do you return games on GameFly?

I gotta hand it to EA theyre trying to compete with the other digital distribution platforms and thats good. Problem is the best way to compete with them to make your service actually better. Origin still has to many issues that are consumer unfriendly or just plain dont work when they should.
Origin provides better service than steam. for example steam is the only online retailer that does not have a return policy. its costumer support also is miles better than steam. i agree that it lacks a lot of features that steam has, but as far as their service goes - its fantastic.
True but last I heard origin still has connectivity issues for multiplayer and abyssmal customer service (their answer is always to reinstall the service and not address their shoddy servers).

They also dont offer refunds on non-EA products.

Don't get me wrong, theyre trying to compete with steam and theyre doing a lot of things right but at this moment its not really enough to compete with steam and they are lightyears behind GoG
i cant say i use Origin daily, but ever since i troubleshooted the connection issues months ago not a single disconnect, something i cant say about steam (btw Origin support found me on another forum and contected me themselves when they saw me complain about conenctivity issues and helped me troubleshoot it personally. now thats a good service). the reason i had them before was mainly shitty ISP DNS servers so not Origins fault but on my end.

I had nothing but great experience with Origins costumer service. meanwhile i cant speak much about Steams one as they never even responded.

well, lets face it, everyone is lightyears behind GOG. The only reason GOG isnt leading the market is because its selection is limited to mostly old games and its sales arent as famous.

as far as digital goes, you are right they pretend not to return it like steam. i never had personal experience with them, but their policy is illegal in EU at least so theres that.

btw i didnt knew gamefly even was still alive till you mentioned.

I really have to agree with the bolded section. I haven't had much reason to use the customer support with either service but on the few occasions I've had to, Origin has contacted me and helped me solve my issues in days while it took two to three weeks for Steam just to contact me.

At this point in time, I've just had a more positive experience with Origin than I have with Steam.
