The age of DLC has given me pause when buying used games. When content comes bundled in special editions, and used, I'm not sure what to think of its availability.

I'm a huge fan of physical manifestations of my content. The less I have to rely on a server to access my game content (in case some mishap were to occur), the better. So in that vein, I want to turn in my copy of Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age Awakenings for the [em]dragon age origins ultimate edition[/em] on the ps3. It says that it comes with all (currently available) dlc. But what I DON'T know is if that is content available on the disk, or if the box contains codes that unlocks it all server side (rendered useless by buying the thing used), so I can download them via the PSN. I need some clearity. If anyone knows, please tell me, so I can get this purchase under way.

Well it might be on the PS3 disk, it being able to store lots of stuff and all that. Not sure though. I know with the Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition all the stuff was on the disk, so maybe?

If memory serves its all on disc. I believe the 360 is a 2 disc with all the installs. I'm pretty sure that the ps3 version is all on the same disc.

I would ask your local retailer just to be sure.

That bodes well. :) Still looking for PS3 confirmation, but this gives me hope that it's not some silly code that gets written off upon purchase.

I'm buying used online. Local retailer would be an EB Gamestop, and they're pretty useless. :)

All on the one disc for PS3!

Shame nearly everything but Awakenings and Shale sucked, though.

Golems of Amgararararararararakkkkakakak is great, if you liked DAs combat...It's a nice little challenge, with some great rewards.

Hopefully it's all on disc, which I'd like. I was considering buying the Ultimate Edition soon because it's cheaper than all of them separately, even if it comes with a copy of Dragon Age.

If anyone knows if it's all on disc for the PC as well, that'd be very helpful.

I just got the Ultimate Edition of DA:O/DA:A. One disc is Dragon Age: Origins. There is a second disc (for the Xbox 360 anyway) which contains all of the available DLC. Pop in the disc, it installs the data for the DLC and you're golden. I don't see why it would be different for the PS3 version.

Sounds like there's a confirmation that the PS3 version of the Ultimate Edition contains everything on a disk. Thanks folks. :) I may revisit this once I have everything in hand to put the final confirmation in place. :)
