Dragon Age Origins Wont Start

Well, in total ive got about 20 hours of play time on my DA:O character and almost everytime I try to start it one of 3 things happens

1. The launcher comes up straight away and I click play. Nothing happens. I open the process list and find DAORIGINS.exe taking 72 memory (Im not sure what it is but I usually just check there to see if things are running) When its usually up to about 200,000 memory. Nothing happens for about 5 minutes but eventually I get an error

2. The launcher doesnt start whatsoever, no matter how long I wait

3. It starts perfectly and will then work perfectly until I reboot my computer



And dont say to reboot my computer, ive tried that.

Your PC is all modern and updated and such, right?
It could be conflicting with old software. Or something.
I dunno. I know nothing about computers.
Your best bet would probably be to phone up tech support.

Using a 1 month old computer with windows vista 32bit.

watch a lot of pron on the nets? Perhaps it infected your computer with aids.

what's your graphics card? These symptoms suggest a driver update is needed.

Did you upgrade to 1.01?
Because they brought out 1.01b which has a fix for your problem. Try doing what it says here [http://social.bioware.com/forum/Dragon-Age-Origins/Dragon-Age-Origins-PC-Technical-Support/FIX-for-Game-not-starting-after-101A-patch--UPDATE-101B-released-These-fixes-are-for-101A-only-Will-be-updated-for-101b-IF-needed-129194-1.html].

Also they will be able to help you much more than we can.
