Dragon Ball Z: Raging Tenkaichi Blast Budokai 9000

Yeah yeah yeah, I know, there are far better fighting games out there, and trust me, I love em.

But what I, and my friends, love as well. Is a brainless, fun clash of overpowered things.
We love Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and we love Dragonball.

Now I've been entertaining my friends with Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for the Wii for a while now. But it's time for something new.

But, after some research and some reviews, all I keep reading is "If you're a hardcore fan, you'll love this" but that's bull.

I love myself some DBZ, but that doesn't mean I will forgive crappy gameplay.

So, I'm just asking you guys.
What are your favourite DBZ games. Especially those focused on local multiplayer.

The Budokai games are pretty good. Easier to jump into than the Tenkaichi series. Far too many buttons and combinations in them.

Ultimate Tenkaichi is pretty bad for multiplayer, so I'd steer clear of it. It pretty much boils down to 'Hammer the shit out of Square/Triangle until you win'. I've yet to win a single match against my girlfriend.

Budokai three is one of my favourites, and you'll doubtless see it pop up again later in the thread, but my current favourite is Raging blast two.

Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is my favourite in general. Good visuals, combat and a wide array of characters and costumes. Whislt Ultimate Tenkaichi helped deliver on he customisation front, the gameplay is severely lacking. It's been reduced to cutscene combat and as much as I want to love it, there's really nothing 'Ultimate' about it.

Budokai 3 is my favorite, but I'd say that Budokai 1 has the best story mode of the first 3.
