After being on what would be called the best fu***** night of my life (and even that would be an understatement), the Taste Of Chaos concert in Stockholm (Everytime I Die, Dead By April, Killswitch Engage and In Flames) I thought I'd make this thread. What would be your dream concert, i.e line-up, seating, company, etc. Honestly, Taste of Chaos was pretty close to it, seeing as I saw In Flames and Killswitch and I sat with my best friend and her weird mates. But if I could change line-up, I would take away Dead By April, and add Children of Bodom and Dark Tranquillity, and I'd make so them and In Flames got two hours each to play. Rock until it's morning!

How about you?

  • Iron Maiden
    Rise Against
    Black Sabbath (Ozzy Osbourne)
    Sonic Syndicate
    lostprophets
    The Beautiful Girls
    Eve 6

Gotta love random bands but they would rock, maybe i can expect something like this at a 'Big Day Out' type concert, but i dont know, it would rock...

And one that would actually happen, Grinspoon and Unwritten Law, love those bands, singers are close mates, it could happen.

I saw Iron Maiden in Manchester a fe wyears back that was great, but in terms of great concerts, I just wanted to see one band, but alas no more. Oasis, please do one more concert just for me :(

It'd start with The Beatles performing some Sgt. Peppers stuff, then move onto Nine Inch Nails performing everything from Year Zero, then finish with Celldweller doing some of his best songs.

Then I'd go to Burger King, get a free double bacon cheeseburger, and get whisked away to a strip club to get drunk with my friends and then wake up the next morning with no headache or hangover.

Sorry, kind of went on a dream evening tangent rather than just dream concert :p

I actually saw Nine Inch Nails back in July, Mew and Jane's Addiction supported them, and at one point, Gary Numan came on stage and performed Cars with NIN.

Heaven.
(editted becuase I clicked the wrong quote button)
Ditch coldplay and I'm in.

Mine however would be

Rush
Transatlantic
Porcupine Tree
A few of the guys from P-Funk all-stars (Bootsy, Eddie)
Iced Earth

The gig would have to last a few days though, with three prog giants around. I would have to see the nads doing things together aswell, Bootsy and Geddy ripping fat bass, Eddie and Alex unleashing massive solos (they dont quite 'shred') and Neal Peart and Mike Portnoy working together, the master and apprentice with like 250 pieces of percussion stuff between.

We're putting In Flames with Killswitch these days? How far the mighty have fallen : /

I love WAY too many obscure groups, but I've seen my favorites in concert separately ( Iron Maiden, and Therion) so I figure I'd just lump those two together and call it a day. Maybe add Alcest to the bill but it wouldn't make much sense thematically. Not that I'd complain.

Counting Crows
Jack Johnson
Bruce Springsteen
Bob Dylan
Jimi Hendrix
Elton John

And a big finale to wrap it up by...

The Beatles!

I didn't have much expectations in Killswitch, but they turned out to be great. That concert actually made me listen to them more. So I was quite satisfied.

SOAD and Lady Gaga in the same concert!? Wow! That is surely one of the signs of the end of the world.

This post is not intended as criticism of any of the involved parties. It is merely intended to show the huge difference between both of them.

OT: I like too many bands to name a lineup, but I'd like to go with my best friend. And am I the only one who thinks an underwater concert would ROCK?

Either this.. or N'sync, Backstreet Boys, Venga Boys, Westlife and Britney Spears. I'd kill myself after half a song.

Maybe. But the only way we can make that list more varied is by throwing some Mozart in there.
