I recently had a dream where I was part of a team to clear a yacht of zombies (a reaccuring theme in my dreams). The yacht was really narrow, most dark, and seemed abandoned. We didn't find any zombies, but at the stern of the ship, I found a video game/gun store. It was well lit and was in a better shape then the rest of ship, if a little messy. In it I found a single shot shotgun, which I decide to take--I didn't have any guns to take on the zombies, and I firgured I'd need it. Along with guns and ammunition I found a couple Star Wars games for the Xbox original (Republic Commandos, Battlefront 1 and 2, Lego Star Wars, and KOTOR 1 and 2--these are all games I've been meaning to buy). After picking up said games, Gabe Newell jumped up from behind the counter and started shooting at me. I started shooting back. In the fight I ended up losing the games. The gun fire drew the rest of my crew in, and they started shooting back. I think a stray bullet hit something because we had to evacuate the ship before it exploded. We all ran out (not including Newell) and jumped from the ship into the water. The ship became engulfed in flames, and a helicopter flew over and picked us up.

Really weird. I think this is the essential gamer dream.
(I don't even care that much about Half Life that much and I only know what Gabe looks like from a Critical Miss comic).

Seven words: Tazer slinging contest with Tommy Lee Jones. By tazer slinging I mean somehow the charge of energy that comes out of a tazer somehow balled into a sphere of energy that you could sling with a flick of the wrist. It ended with me getting into an argument with the guy after I apparently I got him.

Well it was either that or the dream where I met William Shatner in an abandoned community center for no adequately explained reason. Strange...I'm not a Trekkie.

I had this dream where I ended up in a world where everything was this dull shade of grey, supposedly it was the afterlife. I was processed through some sort of lobby area and found myself at the base of a hill. I think there were three different streets branching off above me, all of them on a steep incline up the hill. I can't recall the names of the street signs but I do remember there was big sign with "Atlantis" on it behind me. I must have been assigned an address at the lobby because I started up one of the streets and ended up at an apartment complex where I was supposed to stay. I was in an apartment with some people I'd never seen before and nobody seemed overly concerned about being dead, we just sat down and started watching some movies on the television. None of the films were familiar to me and when I asked about it someone told me there was different programming in the afterlife.

There was a timeskip after that because I was suddenly in a cafe with a woman and I asked her why there was no colour in the afterlife. She explained that everyone here had accepted they were dead and couldn't see the point in trying anymore. Supposedly you could only see in colour if you hadn't given up, at that point she laughed and for a moment I could see her clearly in colour before it faded again. I left the cafe and found myself at the bottom of the hill once more, this time in pouring rain. I remember wishing I had a car before I suddenly appeared back in my apartment along with the woman and my roommates from earlier. I joined them in front of television and noticed I could see the movies in colour now, even if the rest of the room was grey.

I woke up shortly after that, confused as hell. During the dream I was thinking how the afterlife didn't seem so bad but the whole thing seemed bizarre when I woke up.

Hey, that dream sounds really freaking cool. Its like the plot to a book or something.

Most of my dreams are memorable and I tend to write them down, but very few are "wtf" type worthy. If I had to pick though, I guess it would be dreams in which I have sleep paralysis. Now, I get sleep paralysis occasionally in real life. Sometimes however, I would dream about having like 4 episodes of paralysis in a row. Dream about paralysis, get free, realize its a dream, find myself in paralysis again, think I'm done, have another paralysis, and this goes on for quite some time.

Its a bit freaky considering when I wake up I have to think real hard if what I just experienced were dreams or not because they would feel so real. CONSTANTLY throws me for a loop, but it hasn't happened to me in a while.

If I had to choose something a bit more recent, I guess it would be a dream in which I go and choke my younger sister to death because she sided with the killer from Persona 4 in a world somewhat relating to Pokemon. I was convinced that I killed her and was freaking out, leaving her body on the floor in our house with my parents barely 30 feet away. Luckily she lived. I actually have no problems with my younger sister in real life so the dream did disturb me a bit.

I've had at least one wtf moment due to hallucination via sleep paralysis, which technically doesn't count as sleeping. The paralysis ended and I was really scared to go to sleep again that night, like I felt that if I did again I would probably die.

I had a dream where I was an afro-american slave (I'm white) on some white guy's plantation. My slave friend and I decided that we needed to escape one day so we ran through our owner's house trying to escape his mammoth skulls that kept falling down at us. We jumped through this big window overlooking a huge hill. As we were running, I turned and saw our owner charging after us with his pet cougar. He pulled out a rifle and shot my friend. I hid behind a rock and randomly turned into a grizzly bear. As my owner came to shoot me I leaped over the rock and tore his head off. The cougar ran away and I turned into my real self (real as in me in real life and not some black guy). I then walked away from the plantation down the big hill.

I kept walking for what didn't seem like a very long time but it was night when I got to the next town and it had been morning when this all started. The town was completely deserted and had one really tall black tower in the center. There was a lot of mist floating around. As I approached the tower, an old lady showed up and told me that the town was trapped in the tower and that to free them, I needed to climb down in the tower's dungeon and press the button there.

The dungeon of the tower went equally far down as the tower was high. It was pretty much a straight drop except for it had tons of metal bars all over for me to carefully climb down with. It reminded me of a jungle gym only much more sinister. The bottom was completely covered in about 2 feet of black water. I had to feel around in this dark water to find the button that I needed to press. I finally managed to find it and pressed it. Nothing noticeable happened at that time so I climbed back up and went outside to see the old lady again.

The lady cackled and told me that I had freed the town and released the evil. The tower shattered and down came the bodies of all of the town's people getting smashed in the wreckage or just being killed from the fall itself. They had apparently all been piled into the tower on top of each other so that there was almost no room to move. After the rain of bodies stopped, the old lady told me that the only way to stop the evil that I had released was to go and push the button again.

I once again made the decent to the bottom except this time a demonic little girl appeared and chased me down. She looked like a combination of the girl from the Ring and from the Grudge. So I did my best to make my way down the dark bars while being chased by this monster. I made it to the bottom and began feeling around for the button. My hand grasped something but it was not the button. It was long black hair. I yanked on it and the evil girl sat up in the water. She had somehow teleported herself into the water before I got down. She screamed and then bit me on the neck and I woke up.

This is just one of the many fucked up dreams I've had. It normally happens when I get more than 10 hours of sleep. My brain finishes resting and if I decide to go back to sleep it basically says: "fuck you, I wanted to get up. Now I'm gonna have to show you a bunch of messed up shit."

In my recent dream, I had to kill this guy who threatened one of my relatives. He was known to be able to regenerate and the only way to kill him is to destroy his brain.
So I sneaked up on this guy, waited for the opportunity to strike. I burst his skull with a shovel in the head, then I found myself bending down and... drinking up his brain.
It tasted like flan, so that wasn't too, er bad.

I've had a dream where in the middle I reacted to some terrible news, then said to myself,"I would not react like that." and then re-dreamed the dream about four times before I was satisfied. I never outright figured out it was a dream though.

I try to remember my dreams because they often turn out to be really interesting stories that I wouldn't mind writing down. Sadly, things that make no sense always happen in them despite seemingly perfectly normal while dreaming.

I had a pretty messed up one. I was on a cruise liner that ran aground on the coast of nowhere. The captain had done it on purpose to trap everyone there for slave labor. I tried to run away with a group of people, but was later caught and was going to be executed as an example. I turned around and looked the guy right in the eye and woke up when I heard the bang. This is the first time I've ever had a dream like that. That really made me say "What The Fuck?!"

More recently I fell asleep with a Game Grumps playlist going on my computer. I had Game Grumps dreams and I watched one with Jontron even!

I had a dream that me and a friend were sleeping next to each other in my bed. It was normal except for the fact that we both had pie crust growing out of our collarbones. In the dream I woke up and found that the crust was gone and all there was left of it were crumbs in the bed. I actually bolted up in my bed and turned over to my friend to tell her that someone ate our crust before I realized it was a dream.

Most of my dreams are where something really awesome happens and I wake up the next day feeling really good and then go "Oh wait, was that yesterday? Or...no. No that was a dream, God damn it."

Although there was one where I had to build a fort out of cardboard boxes and then fight a bunch of pirates in it. It somehow got really large and complicated without me really doing much. And there was one where it was me and a friend in a room full of some kind of linen, or pillows or something (I can't remember exactly) and everything was gradually going into a hole in the middle, where there was a cerberus. And I had to jump into one of the mouths to kill it, only I woke up. And there was one where I was hanging off a cliff by my fingers, except I was playing a precariously-placed piano and as long as I kept playing I held on. And one recurring one where, by doing a particular kind of forward flip, I could levitate, and for some reason it always took place around my relatives' pool.

If any of those count.

I had a really crazy dream in which i died, but after offering my body not to science, but to a friend of mine who builds guitars. Then my bestfriend played a song at my funeral on a guitar made from my bones....It sounds really creepy, but it was actually a pretty beautiful thing (in a messed up way)

On the rare occasions that I manage to dream, they're realistic enough for me to believe them until I wake up, and I'm consistently disappointed when I wake up from them because real life sucks in comparison.

The biggest WTF is when i dream about being in love with people i couldnt care less about in real life.
After that you feel awkward for a few days around that person...

I fell asleep listening to heavy metal (Led Zeppelin, if anyone is wondering) and I remember having really weird (but nice and interesting dreams) until I got to the song Kashmir. That's when shit got REAL. All I can remember from THAT perticular dream was that there were robots that started to melt because of global warming or something.

I didn't sleep well. At all.
