ok, so tonight i had the most FUCKED UP dream that i can ever remember having (and i still remember it 20 minutes after being awake) it started fine, i was in a zombie game or something being chased by a computer fbi guy or something, but he was friendly at the same time... i don't know.

Anyways from that point on it becomes a step beyond fucked up. What i wanna know is (after this experience) what do you guys take from dreams. Sometimes when i somewhat remember a dream the way i do is through deja vu, like me dreaming that was supposed to happen. Now i mentioned that because i don't want my dream to happen.

I don't really think much of my dreams, mainly because I can usually control what happens in them, and it is awsome. You have to realise it's a dream without waking up, and that's where the fun begins...

The reason anyone remembers there dreams is because you have decent dream recall. forgetting your dreams is much harder than controlling them. my recommendation is to learn how to become lucid in your dreams, so you can control them. making them lose all sense of fear.

Dreams are just your brain's interpretation of it's own chaotic signaling when you sleep. They don't have any Freudian meaning.

well, recently i dreamed about something really creepy >< i have a scar on my left hand, and every time i touched it the skin on said hand pulled back almost all the way to the side revealing a truckload of evil and rot underneath. made me scared shitless to even think about touching it for a week until i stopped thinking about it (although i bet i touched it subconsciously many times ^^)
and just now, before i woke up, i had a dream where i woke up next to my ex girlfriend..one i thought was dead....why do i always remember the creepy ones :(

I really do believe dreams can have a deeper meaning. Wether it is just something you really desire, or some problem thats been eating away at you. The brain finally gets a chance to really sort through all the crap without you pre-occupied. Plus if you're like Edgar Casey maybe you can cure aids.

I usually try to remember what the dream was about, if I can still remember some of it at the moment I wake up. I usually do that only to think
"Wow, how did I begin to dream I was in China with a childhood crush of mine, who I haven't seen in five years. The streets were made entirely out of bamboo and Mumakils or elephants were the only way of public transportation." I do that because it is really fun to just think or laugh about afterwards.

Dreams don't have much to do with the real life, they surely don't always represent your deepest fantasies/fears. Think about it this way: Your subconsciousness is drunk and has been asked to tell a story, using some of the billion trillion things in your memory, and improvising.

It is not always the case, but sometimes dreams end up handling things you have tried not to think about. Or they handle something that you're afraid of, to make you find a solution for that.

Personally I don't believe that dreams mean anything, I still take the scientific theory that they're a means that the brain uses to sort and process information from the day. It's been shown that depriving animals of REM sleep does eventually have major impacts on their psyche, so whatever dreaming does it keeps you sane, despite the illogical material that dreaming suggests. Why it's evolved I'm not sure. I'd love to know, but I don't believe we'll find out in our lifetime. But I don't think they mean anything, they're just the brain at work repairing itself.

I shall explain to you what a fucked up dream really is.

I had this dream just the other day.

Okay, well my dream started by showing a house with a family inside and they were happy and stuff, but there was a little kid outside in the snow and he was going hungry but the family refused to feed him, and then my dream skipped to a bunch of men in black suits talking about the family and then a ghost of the little kid apeared and made everyone start chanting this weird demonic chant. After a little while one of the men snapped out of the chanting thing and saw that there was a small ghost watching them and laughing and then suddenly the ghost killed the man by pulling his lungs out of his mouth (Im not even kidding) and then all the other men saw the dead guy and started running away screaming but the little ghost was killing all of the people in gory disgusting ways.

then it went on to show me lots of random disturbing images like car crash victoms and people going to kiss other people then seeing that they were dead a mutilated.

And no matter how hard I tried I couldn't stop looking, when I looked away the images would move with me and when I closed my eyes the images would apear on the inside of my eye lids.

Also, for people who have seen pan's labyrinth, there was that freaky white guy in it and he was all mutilated to.

Messed up eh?

This is not fake.

this was the first dream I have had in like 10 years that I have wanted to wake up from.

Dreams don't usually have a special 'message' for me. They're just whatever screwed up thing that my mind thinks of while I'm unconscious.
