Okay, if we're to look at what is typically classified as my 'dreams', I could wind up in an asylum, declared paranoid schizophrenic. Fortunately I can distinguish between nightmare and reality. Just.

Now, on dreams of what I want to get out of life; this is a tricky subject. I want to work in a field where I can put my creative talents to use. I want to write a novel, several actually, a series, and then another series, and then another, all in the same universe, and all of their distinct plots would be interwoven ever so subtly so as to intrigue the reader, but not blurt it out to them that these stories are all part of one big meta-plot.

In addition; game design. I have so many ideas, and of course I have absolutely no discernible talent in coding, scripting, animation or whatever else the industry requires. I'm working on it though, honest! One day... maybe.

Depends what comes first; a diploma, or a published novel.

And I shalt smite down Russell Brand in glorious combat, and win thine affections of his bosomy wench, so that I mightst grasp her breasts for mine self!

Or not.

Make a videogame.
Make a anime.
The list goes on...
At least one of us has a clear dream.
Odd to notice that a lot of people want to write a book, create a video game or move to Japan

I want to continue with my education and hopefully help people. Somehow. In a way that doesn't involve sacrificing my internet and living in Africa/Asia for months. I would like to create something that can express everything I've ever felt - it might be in written form, or it might be a drawing, or a composition, I don't know yet.

I want a couple of fairly standard things.

I want to become a writer on films. By that I mean someone who writes articles and reviews about films, not a scriptwriter or a novelist.

If I can, I will take a university course on film when I am of proper age.

As for my other dream, I wish to learn South Korean and visit Japan.

... Alright, so they are fairly unrelated dreams, but still!

I've always wanted to see Japan, particularly Osaka. However, I've never felt like I've wanted to settle down there or anything, so I don't have any interest in learning the language.

Instead, I wish to learn South Korean, as I find it to be a more interesting, and in some ways more beautiful, language.

I also plan on settling down in Ireland and hanging out with Furburt.

I want to live long enough and make enough money to experience either the technological singularity (no, not like a black hole), or the invention of the cure for old age. Live forever or die trying!

Basically, I want to be able to live long enough to find intelligent life (or just life in general) on another world. I want to be a xenopsychologist (I want to study how alien life thinks).
I can't word it better than you have. No really; you share my dream spot on. That's awesome :)
Oh man! A fellow aspiring xenopsychologist?! Such a rarity! My friends do not understand the awesome of the (hopeful) future-science. In an eventuality in which even math may not be a common language, how does one create an understanding between hopelessly divergent species? It'll probably be one of the most important (and f**king awesome) jobs the distant future has to offer.

And if they're not intelligent, studying extra-terrestrial animal behavior would be unbelievable too! Neater if you had experience in regular xenobiology, probably requiring a firm grasp of terrestrial biology and chemistry, both organic and inorganic. Also astrophysics. I mean, what a litany of scientific and philosophical requirements! Plus the great outdoors! Or whatever qualifies for the great outdoors in space! WOO! <-----(excited for the future)

I dream of someday being in command of a starship...

My more down to Earth dreams? I dream of becoming a famous and successful author, a professional camera operator and a happy husband living on a little farm somewhere in the wilds of Canada.

I don't really see any moral issues with these as I plan to accomplish these using my talents and not by stealing the ideas or property of others.

My dream of ruling the galaxy? There might be some moral issues with that dream...

I dream of becoming an engineer and marrying some babe.

It's simple, and realistic, yes?

Also, I've recently been diagnosed with something called Crohn's disease, so I'm kinda hoping that doesn't spoil things too much..

Doesn't really matter, all mine are unachievable; at least in my own lifetime. The laws of physics are a ***** when it comes to space travel.

I want to have a life where I'm surrounded by family and friends, and I'm not struggling for money. Maybe a wife, and eventually kids.

[small]But me and my best friend have been drafting this idea of opening a comic-book shop...[/small]

I'm working to become a filmmaker. I have a five year plan that ends with me submitting my first feature to film festivals.

Other than that, I have about six features that I want to make.

I'm going to try to transfer to NYU next year (Tisch). I also hope to get an apartment around the same time (preferably in East Village).

Like every other weeaboo here, I plan on going to Japan (hopefully junior/senior year of college).

If not New York, I'd like to live in Denver, Charleston, or Seattle after college.

My ultimate dream is to be a widely renowned director; have a place in all three/four of the mentioned cities plus a secluded home in the desert; at least attempt most forms of story telling; and have a beautiful and androgynous boyfriend and girlfriend (as in two partners, one each sex).

Um, can I have the context, please?
Crohn's is a intestinal disease which can cause you to lose function of parts of your lower intestinal tract, namely, the poo parts.

My gf's dad had a colostomy bag (optional opening for poo to go into) lost inside him. He started filling with poo, felt his stomach get realreal hard, got sick as balls and almost died. Basically, the doctor did NOT do his job right.
