Suddenly I notice that Toasterman is not going to have trouble varying their characters based upon type of combat, but type of weapon! Several people are expressing interest in guns.

Oh! A note, as Jav3lin has said correctly, that guns do indeed need ammo, so the people with guns may be powerhouses in the start, but they will struggle later on. At least until other Drifters enter the scene.
I know this may sounda bit odd, But would it be acceptable for be to RP as Alfred Nobel? He was a Chemist, engineer, innovator, armaments manufacturer and inventor, the man invented dynamite!
I picture a slightly forgetfull but competent older gentleman how can just break into houses with little effort but tries to solves problems in over gandious but problematic ways.

Markus was one of the many boys captivated with the idea of fighting in World War One and seeking adventure. He joined the army early in the conflict, and when sent into combat he soon discovered that the grand ideals of adventure and prestige were entirely untrue, and that the only truth of the Western Front was that of the horrors of war.
He fought in several major battles such as Verdun and the Somme, along with many other others and was injured three times.
By late 1916 the war had taken its toll on him. His friends which he had joined the army with and fought alongside were long dead, he felt extreme regret for the French and English soldiers he had killed.
He eventually lost all hope of surviving and had ultimately lost his will to live.
In August, Markus was attempting to get to sleep in a trench when he saw a colourful bird just outside, the only sign of movement in an otherwise dead landscape.
He moved up to get a better look until it flew away from the trench.
With no thought for his personal safety Markus went after it, he wandered into the fog of No Mans Land and was never seen again.
