Vinnie couldn't help but roll his eyes at Keran. "Jesus this guy is giving me a headache." He said shaking his head. He turned to the dame in the armor, the man with the shield and sword, and the man with the odd spear. "Okay, we've all joined in with story time, can I have me gun and knife back now?"He asked tapping his foot. "Or at least let us know your stories, that would be somethin in any case.
"Im with Vinnie here" John pipped up. "Can I atleast get into my ruck, so I can effectively treat my hand?" He said, indicating to his right hand that was wraped in a piece of his shirt. "I promise to not ruffle her feathers too much anymore."
"I spend my life fighting injustice, run up a slaving bracket in Senegal, get shot in the leg and my gratitude is time-traveling to some kind of history potato-masher?" James said, exposing where he had been from as well as trying to convince himself of the reality he was perceiving.
"...Peachy." summarized his situational sentiment.
Hui turns his head slightly to Cael, trying to muffle his words from the others a bit, "I know this, we can only attempt to meld them into something that works well. If not, they will likely die or hide forever," he shrugs before turning back to face the rest of the group, moving his spear so it rests on his shoulder, a sign of peace for him.
"You may access your weapons under one condition. You agree to fight with us against the Order," he offers.
"The Order is a military group that feels themselves above all others in this world. You arrived just in time," he grins slyly, "I've been hearing rumours of them massing a force to take a nearby village, the village that saved your lives."
"So, even if you do not like us, you at least owe something to these elves, correct?" he asks, not wanting a response from any of them, "and my story is a short one. I fought with the Tiger General Guan Yu at Fancheng and was killed by the Wu forces that attacked. A fitting death for an officer," he shrugs once more, giving a brief view of how he died.
"I have received blessing from the Maker, and I know only that if I am to be granted safe passage into His kingdom I shall do in this life as I did in the last"
Keran was now on his feet moving toward his weapon and shield.
"If it is as you say..."
Picking up the blade and sheathing it.
"I shall fight with you, and die in your honor."
Keran readied his shield in his left hand up against his cloth tunic as a sign of formality and knelt down to one knee.
"I am at your command."
Sam walked toward the weapons, looking for his revolver. "Well, They did save our lives, so it's only fair." Locating his gun, he picked it up and holstered it. "I'm in, but there is one more thing I'd like to know." He turned toward the trio guarding the weapons. "Where did you leave my plane?"
"Thank you, Keran," Hui bows, accepting the Templars oath to fight.
Where did you leave my plane? he heard Sam ask, Hui turns to face the man, a puzzled look on his face, "plane? The elves said you had a metal monster with you? Is that what you refer to?"
"Aw hell, I never did like bullies." Going over and getting his kit, he properly bandaged his hand and re-equiped his weapons. "Yeah, I may have been a bandit and a thief but Ive got standards. I ain't ever killed anyone that didnt have it coming." Shit I only 96 rounds he thought, going thorugh his bag "Hey...um you in the green, I never got your name, umm what sorta weapons do these Order types ues? Any chance of getting some bullets anywhere around here?"
As soon as Titus heard what he was expected to do, he was relieved.Atleast I know what I will be fighting for... He thought as he walked over to his weapons, picking up his whip first, curling it up loosely until it was all together. He took a step back and gave it a crack, the tip hitting somewhere at least ten feet away, and making a good sized noise. Titus smiled as he rolled it back up again, and placed it on a hook on his belt. He then kneeled down and picked up his sword, and felt the blade up and down. He tucked it through his belt, the blade dangling while the handle caught the belt. "Then I guess I will fight once more, for these people who saved my life. I will die again if I have to." He said with a nod at the obvious leader of the group.
Vinnie laughed "Well I don't know about open warfare but what the hell." He said grabbing his pistol and tucking it into the holster under his jacket. He grabbed his switchblade and flicked it in and out a few times just enjoying the sound. "Damn never thought I'd miss this thing so much." He said tucking it away in a coat pocket.
He turned to Hui "Well if these guys saved my life I can at least save theirs."
"Hey...um you in the green, I never got your name, umm what sorta weapons do these Order types ues? Any chance of getting some bullets anywhere around here?"
"Judging from the lack of electric lights in this place, I doubt it." said James. He procured his pistol, replacing it in the empty holster under his arm. He picked up the remaining clips he had, five clips and one half empty.
"We're either going to have to get creative, or take up some new steel." he surmised.
"Bullets? No, the Order use bows and blades, much like we do," Hui answers, shutting his eyes in thought, "there may be some other Drifters in the world though that carry them. We are not the only group after all," he explains vaguely, "I don't know where they are, but they do exist."
"And my name is Hui, as you've heard Kyumi refer to me," he offers, motioning towards the armoured Samurai.
Finally he turns to Vinnie, "it is good to have your help, I misjudged you in the beginning," he says before bowing lightly, "I apologise."
Hui straightens his back, looking around the group.
"Since we are all ready, we shall head out soon, first I have something I must take care of...I shall be quick," he bows once more to the group before exiting through the door.
The next post will be up in an hour or so when I get it written up, feel free to chat for now. For the post, there will be a small skip, just to get us outside.
Sam nodded when he heard about the 'metal monster.' "Yeah, that sounds about right." Okay, he thought, so these elves have my plane. Well, nobody said anything about a pile of scrap metal, so it's probably intact. Sam sighed, relieved that, for now at least, his plane was alright.
He turned toward the others as they heard them talking about bullets. He himself had about 30 bullets in his other pouch, and he couldn't even guess how many were left in the plane. It was at that point something else occurred to him. He'd have to keep a careful watch on the plane's petrol tank. An aeroplane won't be much use if it can't get in the air.
James's fears of the present were distracted by the piquing of the familiar.
"...Sam (you said your name was?), you're from 1923, so you're from the future from where I stand. I've had a small fascination with heavier-than-air travel contraptions, what sort do you use? Are people still using the Wright machines?"
Sam turned his attention toward James. "You're about five years off. I'm from 1918." He began to smile as he talked about planes. "And no, we've long since improved upon the original Wright design. Mine's what's known as a Camel, created by the Sopwith Aviation Company in 1916. It's quite a remarkable piece of machinery, I must say."
"Bullets? No, the Order use bows and blades, much like we do.""Figured as much, but never hurts to ask" John repiled. "Guess Ill save you for emergencies then" he said addressing his revolver, "but in the mean time, I guess I should 'liberate' a blade from one of these Order fellows you keep mentioning." Making one last check of his gear John streched and said "Well lets get to it then, no sense in letting those cocksuckers get to the village before us."
Vinnie turned as he heard Hui address him "It is good to have your help, I misjudged you in the beginning, I apologise" He chuckled at this bit and smiled "Oh no buddy you may have judged me right. I'm helping becuase I don't like owing people. And besides, you haven't seen me work yet." He said pulling out his switchblade and flicking it open. "With any luck your gonna see why they call me 'Smiley'." He said smiling at his own miniature reflection on the blade.
After 30 minutes, Hui returns, followed by the elf Manwe.
It is happening, tonight, we must hurry, Manwe says, his voice shaking, please, help, he begs to the group.
"We will, Manwe, we have all promised to," Hui reassures the elf, placing his hand on the elves shoulder, he then looks across the group.
"Come, we have much to do and little time, everything has been planned before. Now we have the bodies to do it."

The village that we'll be in next is ten basic wood/mud huts set out around a central well in a forest clearing, the Order will use the normal 'road' into the village which leads in from the East. Just so we know where we are.
Also, in this part since RP is afk, I'll be botting Cael, which means double the work, joy! And Jeff, you'll get your plane after this fight, it just seems a bit overkill-y to use it in defence of a village.
Darkness begins to fall, the well had been blocked and the houses cleared of elves. The Drifters were split out into groups of three:
Hui, Samuel and Vinny to the West in the Forest edges.
Kyumi, Athol and Jeff to the North at the Forest.
Cael, Keran and Titus at the back of the Southern most house of the village.
Several groups of elves stand ready with bows and arrows, hiding in the tree line after some brief training with Kyumi on archery.
The Order begin to approach, a 50 man raiding party, armoured with heavy plate armour, long swords and shield. At the front, three men ride, the blonde haired man at the front, Adlar, the leader of these raiders carries a pike so he can fight from horseback. The other two are his elite guard, the men chosen from the ranks to protect him.
As the village comes into view, Adlar barks orders at his squad, who in turn begin to pick up the pace, nearing the village quicker.
"Remember, wait until they are in the centre of the village, then we surround them," Hui whispers to Samuel and Vinny, "after that, we wait for Cael's group to go, since they will be the first in."
***
Cael peers out from the corner of the house, watching the raiders enter the village center, his eyes locked on Adler.
"Go!" he hisses at Keran and Titus, "now's our chance!" he says before slipping around the corner, edging closer to the group, drawing his blade as he walks, waiting for the first members to enter his range.
Feel free to go wild now, you can attack when you want to and kill anyone apart from Adler, yet.
'Hui lumps me with these fools and not real warriors! Just my luck' thought Myumi once the teams had been assigned and despite her extreme dislike of Athol, she had not complained as it was not her place.
Now, the 'team' were behind a large buidling to the left of the main road, ready to spring their trap, but before hand, Myumi had a few words to say.
"Stay close to me, wait for a couple of the order to fall before you come out, you can take the weapons from the fallen. Their armor is weak and the neck and the joints"
And with that, Myumi stepped out from behind the barn and faced the enemy, her bow in hand, an arrow already notched. With a thunderous kiai, she let loose an arrow, that promptly lodged itself in the neck of one of the raiders and before he had even begun to fall, Myumi was notching her second arrow, which, seconds later, planted itself in the stomach of another man.
She continued in this fashion for two more arrows, with one pinging off of one of her enemies breastplates, much to her disgust.
'More practice!' thought the Samurai, as she replaced her bow on her back and drew her Katana to face the charging enemy.
