I'm sorry, did you just call a drink with vodka, Cuervo, Jack AND 151 in it "tame?" Dude. I wanna party with YOU.

shot glass
filled most of the way with absinthe
little bit of contreau for flavour
rounded out with a dash of tobasco sauce
put a straw in it and suck it up as fast as you can.
Oh my mother-loving Christ. We're drinking that at Casa Fletch tomorrow night. Might skip the straw though.
Upon further review, seeing as the "good stuff" is still illegal to produce or sell in this backward country, I think we'll be putting this off until I can import some. But hey, that'll give us a good excuse to have another party. w00t.

oh come on, you don't NEED wormwood to have fun!

I am inclined to agree though, anything with 5 shots in it is far from tame.
my local (50 metres from my building) sells a 5 shot long island iced tea for $10 on a friday night. very nice :)

When compared to some of the suicidal drinks that have been posted in this thread, you're damn right it sounds tame! How about a little vinegar and frank's hot - does that give it that extreme edge we're looking for here?

And FYI Fletch... you have partied with ME.

It's hard to remember some parts of E3.

I have a feeling it will be hard to remember some parts of Casa Fletch tonight too.

Oh trust me, I know what you mean! Just jogging some memories ;)

Next time we meet I'll have to throw together this "tame" drink for you and see what you think. Deal?

I partied with some guy named Araman, not this gonzo-insane, denizen of Bat Country who thinks the above-mentioned drink is "tame." Next time, bring that guy ;)

I will post over the weekend with some of my favorites, including Bouzo, the Mazerati, Pirate's Tea, my personal mix of the Margarita, and a few others. All of these drinks have been battle-tested on hardened Escapist personnel...and casualty figures are high.

Understatement.

Well, there's always the classics: Jack and Coke, or Wild Turkey and Canada Dry. Simple; can't beat them.

Back in school, we used to keep this one in a gallon jug in my friend's truck:
2 parts vodka
1 part pink lemonade
1 part cranberry juice
And enough of that powdered iced tea mix for half of the total mix. (1 gallon mix, use enough iced tea mix for half-gallon)

The nice thing about it is that it keeps suprisingly well in hot weather, which made it handy for storing in vehicles in the school parking lot or any other public place where we can't exactly carry it around, and its 90 degrees out and the inside of the car is 130.

I'm generally a beer drinker, and like a wide variety of beers. Favourites include:

  • 1) Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale (brewed only in the capital city of my home province -- Halifax, Nova Scotia, here in Canada)
    2) Kilkenny, and other amber ales
    3) Stella Artois
    4) Guinness (of course)
    5) Fruli (30% strawberry juice! It tastes about ten orders of magnitude better than it sounds)
    6) Boddington's Pub Ale
    7) Sleeman's Honey Brown

Honourable mention: My dad used to make homebrews from kits, and his Northumberland Brown Ale was usually quite enjoyable.

In terms of "mixed" drinks, I tend toward vodka coolers (Smirnoff's green apple flavour in particular), rum & cokes, screwdrivers, and polar bears (which taste exactly like drinking an After Eight mint chocolate).

It's really simple: one part Creme de Cacao, one part Peppermint Schnapps. It's supposedly a shot, but it's so tasty that I've been known to drink it from a glass.
