Drinking and gaming

Me and my friends usually have a few drinks when we play Guitar Hero/Rock Band. Although by the end of the night we're all absolutely terrible at it.
The last time I dranka and gamed was saturday, Chugging on a large bottle of cider everytime we won, lost or even participated in a fight, on Street Fighter IV, was a good night.
My game skills tend to vary wildly under the influence. Sometimes I can be god awful, but at others no one can touch me.
I remember when I got my current best kill streak in CoD4, I'd just come home from a night out and switched on my PS3. 5 minutes and a helicopter later I was just screaming loudly at the television as I blasted enemy after enemy in a free-for-all whilst being scared they were just jumping out at me.
It capped at around 18 kills though as my parents came in, woken up and annoyed, to see what was wrong. The momentary distraction was enough to end that golden killspree...

I only drink for party games with friends, if someone brings Guitar Hero/Rock Band, SingStar, Buzz or Scene It we like to get hammered to improve (or destroy) the experience!
I really don't drink that much. But one time at a party we played Mario 2 while drinking and we found that the game took on a much deeper meaning 'cause we kept giving all the villains their own backstory. And inventing other conflict, like Mario and Luigi had to sell their parent's house and were arguing about who gets what, and Toad was on amphetamines.

Anyone who plays rock band without a bunch of friends and a large amount of alcohol is really missing a cathartic experience and just plain' ol fashioned good time. Gaming, like drinking (and this has been mentioned before in this thread) are both ways I like to relax. I also love drinking rum and playing L4D with my buddies (my fiance yells at me though because she hates hearing me shout TAAAAAAAAAAAAANK or WIIIIIIIIITCH at the top of my lungs) because, once again, its a really good time. I see no difference in having a few while playing pool or cards. Cards and pool go hand in hand with having a good time with friends. They also go hand in hand with alcohol.
HA! Says you! I like to tout my abilities sober or otherwise in both aspects. I'm not a god or anything but I know what I'm doing enough to not fuck it up.Daye.04 said:

I remember once when I came home from a party with friends. I sat down and played WoW. I had a long time online friend there. He was online. And I was stupid. I wagely remember some of the conversation. Kinda embarissing. But it was loads of fun, though =Djoystickjunki3 said:

Playing Halo 3 online with my friends while drunk is also great, some of the trash talk that happens is truely great.
GTA IV/Saints Row 2: After getting all the weapons (Legitimately or otherwise) and just seing who can survive the longest never gets old. Pro-Tip: Alcohol + Helicopters = Great moments in gaming.

i got plastered once playing cs one night with a few others... sat in teamspeak and drank the remaining half bottle of jd and half a bottle of southern comfort. I swear i didn't get as drunk as i should've though because i could still see, nearly falling over with laughter every time i shot someone. That was the first and last time i got plastered playing online... as the hangover was pure evil. PURE EVIL!!!!

If I am playing a story based game or rpg, I tend to smoke marijuana beforehand. I really get immersed in the story and characters that way. However, I suck at skill based games high, so I dont do it then.
