Nintendo's definitely targeting casual gamers these days. And anyone who already has a DS that bought the DSi is an idiot.

The DS is a Gameboy, not a cellphone we don't need a camera in it or internet, it was made for gaming and with the DSI the games are just more of a nice little side feature

I have a working Phat, and a lite, but if that Miles Edgeworth DSi pack comes out here, I'll actually buy one.
I want a Blue Badger DS damn it.

what's wrong with me wanting to play some older games
There's nothing wrong with that, it's just that some sacrifices had to be made design wise. Nintendo doesn't have a grudge against you.
Not to mention that as time goes on, it can become increasingly harder to get the parts to make a GB/GBA slot in the handhelds as those parts aren't being made as frequently anymore. That's one of the reasons why Nintendo doesn't fix NES' anymore.

Hard to say
The camera feature is pretty cool but you cant play gameboy stuff on it
This system would be better for people who dont own guitar hero on tour or dont own a gameboy
if not, the answer would be different

::facepalm::

My god, the fail in this thread is unbelievable.

You SERIOUSLY think that the DSi is JUST a DS Lite with the GBA slot removed and a pair of Cell phone cameras?

And you're pissed off that you can't play your crappy GBA games on new hardware, when for the past EIGHT YEARS Nintendo has released FIVE handhelds that support GBA carts? Where the hell is your GBA micro? Why can't you bring that along if you're so goddamn desperate to play Advance Wars, or Sonic Advance, or Mariokart Super Circuit.

Grow the hell up you idiots.

Did you ***** that the Super Nintendo didn't support NES carts? Or that the Nintendo 64 didn't support SNES carts?

I don't fucking think so. So why are you getting your panties in a bunch over this?

The DSi is a fine little piece of gaming hardware. If you want to deny yourselves the awesomeness that is Art Style: Aquia on DSiWare, be my guest. I am going to continue enjoying the hell out of it.

Nope. The DSi is just not good hardware in my opinion. Even though I have a PSP, I would prefer a regular DS over a DSi.
